My driver Brian kindly picked me up at my hotel in heavy rain then headed to the anphitheater. The Ramayana show was amazing, in which they combined clear oral songs, enchanting dance, powerful light effect and even authentic fire harmonically. Brian kindly picked me at the anphitheater again back to my hotel. On our way, Brian was kind enough to accept my brazen request and carry me to Hamzah Batik, my favorite souvenior store along Jalan Malioboro. This is totally out of my booked plan but he charged no money and just smiled! I recommend this plan to anyone who come to Jogjakarta!

Full description

Witness an epic love story of Javanese culture at Ramayana Purawisata Jogja. Enjoy a spectacular theatrical show and musical, performed by around 200 members.

First, enjoy a delicious dinner at a Gazebo Garden Restaurant and choose from a wide range of food options at the buffet, which should cater to most people.

After your dinner is finished, enjoy a Ramayana dance performance depicting the story of two men fighting for the love of a princess called Sinta. It begins by introducing the characters Rama Wijaya, the Prince of Ayodya, and Princess Sinta, as they wander through the Dandaka Forest with Laksmana. The entire Ramayana story is presented through body movements and dancing, without any dialogue.

Sit back and marvel at the dancers as they gracefully perform, and enjoy the backing music, perfectly matched to show the beautiful moments, and give emphasis to the harder times.

After the show, relax as your driver will bring you back to your accommodation.
