Incredible, once of a lifetime roadtrip across Java, be prepared for some amazing hikes through beautiful national parks, the itenary for all 3 days was well thought out and everything ran smoothly. I saw some stunning sunrises and blue flame lava, and had panoramic views of the volcanic landscape. Accomodation was clean and comfortable and the local guide at Mount Ijen helped us avoid the crowds and provided a positive upbeat experience. My driver and guide Nasir Anang is a fountain of local knowledge and made me feel completly comfortable. He was warm, friendly and adapted the shecdule to my preference. He was able to answer all my questions about Indonesian culture and made great suggestions to try local food. I felt in safe hands and was able to relax and enjoy as he took care of all the tickets and accomodation bookings. It was like traveling with a dear friend and I hope to travel again with him in future. Although the price may seem high so much is included it's excellent value
First of all, our guide Imam was amazing during the trip. Nice, fun, kind, helpful, good driver, he gave us interesting explanations, and he knew how to manage our time to enjoy as much as possible. It was a real pleasure to do the trip with such a fantastic person. Concerning the trip, we were picked up at our accommodation, then driven nearby mont Bromo, which took approximately 6 hours. we stayed at cafe lava hostel. The next morning, we left at 3:00am, to see the sunrise next to the mount. Then we climbed near the crater. After that, we had breakfast and were driven to Ijen area. We arrived in the middle of the afternoon at Ijen View hotel and left at 11:00pm. We arrived at Ijen around 1:00am and started the climbing almost 1 hour later, with a guide named Quim-Quim, who is also a fantastic person. Then we were driven to the port, took the ferry to Bali, and were picked up and driven to our hotel in Ubud. I definitely recommend this tour, but be prepared not to sleep a lot.
