Highlighted reviews from other travelers
The activities were interesting and supported by good information from the various guides. Ijen was a highlight, although a bit of work to reach the top. We had prime viewing times and places at Mt. Bromo and Ijen. Our driver Atok, was excellent. He is a good driver, was friendly, helpful and made our travel with him comfortable and interesting. We highly recommend this tour and Atok.
I'll start by writing about the tour activities first. The hikes were amazing. We even had the option of going to a waterfall on the way from Yogyakarta to Mount Bromo and it was a surreal experience (highly recommended). The sunrise tours were tough on the body due to the extremely early hours, but it was to be expected. Our tour guide, Nasir was able to get us in even earlier to avoid the crowds, which is absolutely necessary to see the blue fire at Mount Ijen - we were the first! Next, I'll write about the tour guide Nasir Anang. He was very, very friendly and accommodating. Since we were a group of 6, he kept us punctual but was very professional regarding it. He suggested extra activities to do not even on the itinerary (the waterfalls) and made stops when requested. He is clearly an expert at running this tour. The only gripes we had were that the car was a bit old, and the ride from the port in Bali to our hotel. The driver was not Nasir and the ride was not that great.
