I had a very good day in Jakarta with our guide Nabila. The tour group was small, just three people that day, and we were able to go at our own pace to different places throughout the day. Nabila was very friendly. She told us about the history of the places we visited and also taught us about life in Indonesia in general. With the Idul Adha celebrations continuing on Saturday, the interior of the Istiqlal Mosque was not open to tourists. I was very disappointed, so Nabila kindly offered to take me there the next morning before my flight. The next day, I had another very friendly guide who accompanied me and showed me around the mosque. He introduced me to some local specialties (a kind of omelet called Kerak telor) while we waited for the tour to start. I had a wonderful time. Thank you to both guides for these wonderful experiences.
