Wave Break Island

Depart from Gold Coast on a fun-filled guided kayaking tour to Wave Break Island where you can snorkel, enjoy a snack, and relax while admiring amazing city views away from the crowds. After passing the iconic Broadwater, your friendly tour guides will brief you on kayaking techniques. Cruise through spectacular waters, where you might have the chance to spot dolphins and stingrays. Paddle through beautiful sandbanks, offering a unique Gold Coast City view in the background, and arrive at the Northern side of Wave Break Island, where you will park your kayaks next to a scenic spot. Take a short bushwalk to Wave Break Island’s Eastern side to snorkel and explore the underwater beauty of this fantastic island.  Swim amongst the friendly rocky reef locals, diamond fish, and black bream, and discover many other species, from sea cucumbers, trumpet fish, and sergeant fish. You can even find Dory if you are lucky. Here, natural and man-made beauty are combined to create a picture-perfect background; the beautiful Gold Coast waterways with the city’s collection of skyscrapers on the horizon. As you get out of the water, a snack will be waiting for you. Savor it whilst admiring the amazing views, and get ready to return to the starting point.

Hop on and hold on as you cruise across Southern Broadwater aboard a speedy jet boat that offers unforgettable fun for the whole family.   Depart from Pelican Beach, Waterways Dr, Main Beach, set off to experience fast and thrilling jet boat spins and slides through the Southern Broadwater and around Wavebreak Island.  Listen to onboard commentary by a knowledgeable skipper, showcasing the stunning waterways of the Gold Coast as you cruise on the unique, safe, and spacious 22- seater twin-engine jet boat.

Spend time with the fishes on this snorkeling adventure. Wave Break has one of the highest amounts of fish in Australia and is a fantastic site for snorkeling. There are over 50 different species of fish with depths ranging from  0–15 meters. Many of the fish school in their hundreds and are very people friendly. This site is ideal for both the beginner and the advanced due to the location there is minimum swell. All snorkellers can be assisted with a guide on the basics of snorkeling and the areas that are best for photography and fish feeding. Snap some cool photos of the fishes underwater and hand-feed the fish. Take a break from snorkeling and pend some time exploring what Wave Break has to offer, including a beautiful stretch of the beach secluded from other boating activities. Or float on a boogie board with view holes to watch the sea life pass you by.  Return hotel transfers from selected Surfers Paradise hotels. The duration of this activity from pickup to drop-off is 4 hours.

Scale the heights of adventure with a tandem or triple parasailing adventure in Surfers Paradise. Accompanied by an instructor, hop on a parasailing boat specifically designed for the job. Feel your cares slip away as you drift softly on warm air currents and drink in the gorgeous views below. After you’ve been briefed about your flight, sit back on a boat and listen to music on the water. After the boat reaches the fly zone on the Broadwater, it's time to make your way to the platform at the back to get ready for your flight. Get fitted into your harness and clipped to a parachute by deckhands. Once the skipped gauges the perfect conditions, be released high into the sky (at a controlled rate) to begin your parasailing adventure. Once you are high enough, enjoy 360° views ranging from the Surfers Paradise skyline to South Stradbroke and WaveBreak islands and around the mountain ranges of the Gold Coast, including Springbrook and Tambourine Mountains. Down below, spot schools of fish, pelicans, and other water birds on the Broadwater. If you're lucky, you can see bottle-nosed dolphins, sea turtles, and the odd dugong. Take a 3-Day PADI Open Water Course which will provide you with the knowledge and skills you’ll need to safely explore the underwater world. With your expert instructor, enjoy learning scuba diving in a safe environment. Over the 3 days, you will take part in academic training where you will learn the basic principles of safe and enjoyable diving and learn the basic skills of diving with some confined water training and subsequent dives in the open water where you will demonstrate your new skills in a typical underwater environment. Upon successful completion of this course, be awarded the PADI Open Water Certification card enabling you to scuba dive anywhere throughout the world to a depth of a maximum of 18 metres. The certificate also entitles you to hire equipment from dive stores and is valid for life.

Our sunset cruises provide the perfect setting for a special occasion, whether that be a birthday, engagement, anniversary, graduation or just a celebration of life!! There is something truly magical about a Gold Coast Sunset. The sky is painted with shades of pink, orange and purple, creating a stunning backdrop for your cruise photos. As the sun sets, the city lights start to twinkle, reflecting off the water and creating a beautiful spectacle. Our sunset cruises are the perfect way to end the day on a high note.

Explore the underwater world of the Gold Coast, Australia. This dive is purely for pleasure and no experience is necessary. You will be accompanied by a certified PADI instructor throughout the whole dive.  You can either make your own way to the dive store with parking available on-site or you can choose to be picked up from one of our 3 selected hotels in Surfers Paradise, please note pick up is available until the courtesy shuttle is full. Once you arrive and have checked in, then board the boat at Marina Mirage. You’ll travel approximately 20 minutes north by boat to the Wave Break Island. Leaving the boat, you’ll head to the island and get comfortable wearing & using the SCUBA equipment in calm, shallow waters before heading off on your underwater safari.  Besides seeing beautiful and fascinating aquatic creatures first hand, you’ll experience sensations unique to scuba diving, like the feeling of floating weightless like an astronaut in space. You will be swimming amongst the many different species of fish of the Gold Coast, with the opportunity to hand feed them too.  Once back to the boat, you can take off for a relaxing snorkel or simply lounge about on the boat enjoying some light refreshments. A participation certificate is awarded to every diver, upon request. The duration of the tour from pickup to drop-off is approximately 4 hours.

Your experience will start with a full safety briefing, some test zigs zags to help you get a feel for the machine, and some handy tips from experienced instructors. Then off you drive to explore the waterways of Surfers Paradise on a jet ski adventure with a lead instructor guiding the way.
