Jeremie was an excellent guide. Superb. He provided excellent descriptions of the full campaign and ensured visits to all the appropriate venues to gain knowledge of this most critical event. He was adept at explaining the geography, the times, the locations, the participants. He brought the campaign to life.

Eric was knowledgeable and enjoyed his subject. Good company too. I had a lot of questions as I already knew quite a lot about the chronology of the battle - or thought I did! Seeing the topography and putting the chronology in to context with the prevailing weather on 18 June 1815 (volcano erupted two months earlier meant torrential rain) was a salutary experience. It probably was for the combatants too 20k Prussians lost at Ligny alone, and it’s a tiny place! Extraordinary to visit there alone. Never mind the main battle site. Still can’t quite fathom the French obsession (a costly one) with Hougoumont. A bit late to ask Napoleon now Well worth the time spent looking at the whole site and gleaning Erick’s knowledge to compliment my perception. Expensive experience!! But well worth the money
