Halstatt is beautiful and Salzburg is ok. We didn't get a chance to see too much at a comfortable pace as the distance is so far. You end up most of the trip in the car. Our driver was a nice person and lovely in personality but his driving was atrocious. He was swerving on the road, constantly doing things on his phone. On the return journey he looked like he was dropping off to sleep. He admitted to doing over 10-12 hour days of driving. Also once getting to both destinations he sort of tried to direct us to what we should do. Rather than give a suggestion he was quite direct to what we should do as we wont have time otherwise. Also according to the tour we had english speaking driver. His english was very poor, many times we could not understand him and he us. Good trip overall but dangerous driving. Wasn't impressed. Dont trust Get a Guide on the description of this trip. You don't have time to see things. Go as far as Halstatt and do a separate trip to Salzburg.
