Victoria Falls Tour: Zimbabwe and Zambia From Both Sides

Fantastic morning with Tendekai as our guide. No complaints, well worth the money. Couple of bits to watch out for … If you do decide to cross the bridge to Zambezi to look at the falls from the other side, make sure you get the correct visa when you come through customs into Zimbabwe when you first land. A single entry visa is $55 for a U.K. citizen, a multiple entry one is $70. Secondly entry into the park to view the falls is $50, if you want to view the falls from Zambia … it’s another $20 on top of that. It all adds up ….. and in my opinion ( even though I booked to see the Falls from both sides tour ) one side is plenty… Maybe we were lucky as we had a clear day and as it’s mid Feb the water levels were building to a high ! We were drenched by the time we were at viewpoint 14 so a trip to Zambia seemed pointless. No complaints though …. Well worth the money and don’t forget to invest in $3 to hire a waterproof.

Both guides were fantastic. The falls were amazing and it’s definitely worth going to the Zambian side. We walked over the bridge which was cool. The guides helped us through customs on both sides which we never would have known how to do without them. I wish I had money to tip them as they were so great but unfortunately used all my cash paying for the national park fees. US $50 in Zimbabwe and $20 in Zambia. I was paying for 3 so it adds up. They don’t take credit card either. Also had to pay cash at the airport for the double entry visa which was $45. So when you are booking the tour keep in mind that you will need an extra US $115 cash each.
