Skip-the-line is a must and so worth the price! We must have walked past a hundred tourists waiting in line to see the Doge's Palace and Saint Mark's Basilica. The latter of these two was so absolutely stunning, it was the absolute highlight of 8 days in 3 cities in Italy - hands down. And, Denise, was the best tour guide we've had - anywhere in the world! She was positive, knowledgable, adapted to changes, answered questions to the best of her ability (it's okay to say "I don't know" now and then!). She was a delightful guide and made the experience just that much better, highlighting the best parts of the basilica in the short time we had.
