We participated in a Como lake tour of significant architectural and cultural buildings as well as the villages themselves around the lake. The boat was surprisingly large and comfortable with a snack bar and a guide describing what we were seeing. The app took great pains to give directions to the pier of departure. We were allowed to depart on Bellagio and find our own way home and just thought that was a fantastic way to enhance the cruise.

Full description

Leave Varenna behind as you set off across the lake to get to Tremezzo and one of the most famous villa on Lake Como, Villa Carlotta. Continue to Lenno Bay, where you can admire Villa del Balbianello, known for its appearances in Star Wars and Casino Royale, and Villa Balbiano, famous for being the location for the film House of Gucci.

See the only island on Lake Como, Comacina Island and then, sail around Bellagio, enjoying the area’s countless historic mansions, including Villa Melzi, Villa Gerli, and Villa Placida.
