Start from downtown Vancouver and travel south through the city aboard a climate-controlled bus. Hop aboard a BC Ferry for a 90-minute voyage across the Georgia Strait through the scenic Southern Gulf Islands. Keep an eye out for orcas along the way.
Once docked on Vancouver Island, the tour continues to the world-famous Butchart Gardens, a National Historic Site of Canada. See millions of bedding plants in over 900 varieties. Enjoy 2 leisurely hours to fully explore the 50 acres of stunning gardens.
Head to downtown Victoria and pass through Canada’s oldest China Town and the scenic Victoria Harbor, including the Inner Harbor. Once downtown, you will have free time to explore the local area.

A great day out. We chose this trip because it has the most time at the gardens (2 hours) of all of the trips that we looked at. Very pleased that we did.

Fantastic day out. The pick up was on time but the instructions a tad vague. The ferry crossing was comfortable and on time. Our guide was knowledgeable and really went the extra mile to give us a great day out. Butchart Gardens were fabulous and we had enough time to get round it and see everything. I would have liked a bit longer as I'm a keen gardener but it was just right for my husband. Victoria was interesting with plenty of time to have a look around. As we chose not to eat there we found ourselves with time to kill. Unfortunately, there had been a medical emergency on one of the ferries which caused delays so our return ferry was delayed. Our guide kept us abrest of the situation which gave people the choice to eat in Victoria or on the ferry. The ferry was rammed coming back and we experienced a 45 minute queue to get a meal. The food was good for 'fast food'. On the drive back from the ferry terminal our guide put on a video of the gardens which rounded off a lovely day.
