Immerse yourself in Ortigia, the historical heart of Syracuse as on this guided boat tour. Enjoy listening as your skipper tells you about geological formations and step back in time with stories and information regarding the area's rich history. Board a comfortable boat and embark on your water adventure. Glide from the bridges of Ortigia and will enter the "big port" of Syracuse where you can gaze out of the the stunning Alfeo Promenade of Ortigia. Sail outside the port to circumnavigate the entire island. Follow the coast north of Syracuse to see some naturally-formed sea caves. Cruise into the "small port" and navigate inside the Ortigia canal that divides the island from the city. Have the chance to stop and take a dip in the turquoise waters with views of the shore. During this guided tour you will see the following monuments and historical buildings: Venetian Palace, Umberto I bridge, small harbour, Bourbons prison, old spanish walls and Eastern seafront, Viliena Fortress, Jewish Quarter, Maniace Castle, Aretusa Source, Cathedral, St. Lucy alla Badia Church, Alfeo seafront and Porta Marina. Then we will continue our tour by the coast to the sea caves visit and you can live a unique experience: the boat will go into the sea caves wich is the best place to admire stalactites, stalagmites and corals. Some of these caves have peculiar shapes that you will recognize by approaching them, as Dionisio's ear cave, Lovers cave wich has a heart shape and the Doves cave. Last but not least, if you wish, you can also have the chance to enjoy a stop for swimming in our crystal waters.

We will start from the Ortigia canal and leave the small port to go towards Syracuse sea caves, we will visit the caves of the capuchins, the corals, the heart and the stalactites. Subsequently we will return to the island of Ortigia to circumnavigate it, admiring the moments and telling geographical/historical information about the city of Syracuse. They return from the large port and we will return again to the Ortigia canal where we started. During the tour it will be possible to see some points of interest from the sea such as: the cathedral of the cathedral, Fonte Aretusa, Castello Maniace, the eastern seafront, the western seafront, the Marina, the Sanctuary of the Madonna, and the Bourbon prison, etc. -It will also be possible to take a short 10 minute swim break. -Tour offered in Italian/English

Explore the breathtaking Syracuse coastline and navigate around its adjacent Ortigia Island on a fantastic scenic cruise. Come across the most stunning sights as you float along the shore and into the small harbor for a ride through the Ortigia canal. Embark on a fun sightseeing boat trip departing from Ortigia and travel around the whole island as you head toward the iconic sea caves located north of Syracuse. Enter the small port and discover the local marine infrastructure, crossing the canal and passing under bridges. On your way back to the south coast, cross the huge port of Syracuse and take in the combination of natural and man-made scenery before returning to the starting point.

The tour will start from the Ortigia canal and will go in the direction of the sea caves of Syracuse. Subsequently we will sail around Ortigia and then head out of the city to the southern coast of Minareto and Pillirina to sail along and thus discover the coasts of the marine reserve. The major points of interest that we will see are: cathedral of the cathedral, Bourbon prison, Umbertine bridge, sea caves, eastern seafront, Maniace castle, western seafront, Fonte Aretusa, Pillirina beach, Pillirina cave, Minaret coast. -During the tour it will be possible to make 1/2 swimming stops. -The tour will last approximately 2 hours.

This excursion in Ortygia will also offer you the opportunity, in non-adverse weather conditions, to take a short stop for a dip, where the water is a deep blue.

This is the perfect chance to try a new sport in a breathtaking natural setting! What to Expect We'll meet in Syracuse (SR), 10 minutes before your chosen start time. Our friendly instructor will be there to greet you and lead you on this exciting canoe adventure. Once everyone has arrived, we’ll kick things off with a concise 10-minute briefing on proper paddling techniques. After that, it’s time to hit the water! We’ll paddle together along a 3 km route, starting from Syracuse and heading toward Ortigia. Along the way, you’ll get an up-close view of the Umberto I Bridge, Fonte Aretusa, and Maniace Castle. After circling the island, we’ll head to the sea caves of Syracuse, where you’ll explore the Cappuccini Cave, Coral Cave, and Stalactite Cave (also known as the Grand Cave). The tour includes at least one swim stop at a prime spot selected by the instructor. After about 1 hour and 45 minutes on the water, we’ll return to the meeting point. The entire experience lasts around 2 hours.
