Your first destination is the Martvili waterfalls in the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region. Martvili's beauty will mesmerize you with sensational waterfalls and a boat trip on the deep green river. Glide through the canyon's moss-covered walls, surrounded by brilliant scenery. Martvili Canyon is a fantastic place for an adventure with family, friends, or co-workers. Next, visit Kumistavi, also known as Prometheus caves, famous for its legend about Amirani. The cave offers spectacular views of stalactites, stalagmites, petrified waterfalls, underground rivers, and cave lakes. In the morning, our guide will meet you at the meeting point and you will start a tour of beautiful natural monuments near Kutaisi! First, you will visit Martvili Canyon, enjoying views of the mountain river, natural stone bridges & waterfalls. One of the top highlights at Martvili Canyon is the short boat ride (approx. 15 min.) in the turquoise river, where you'll enjoy close views of the canyon, which you normally would not reach on foot. Note: Boat service doesn't work if the water level is too high or the currents are too strong, usually it could happen in spring or after heavy rain. You will drive to the Okatse Canyon, where you will change a car to a 4x4 vehicle from the visitor center to the canyon entrance (an extra fee of 10-15 Gel). At the Canyon you will walk 900 steps on a panoramic hanging bridge & enjoy views of nature, especially in the spring and summer seasons, surrounded by lush green forest. After taking beautiful photos and a short rest on the panoramic bridge, you will take the car back to the visitor center. Note: in case of rain/snow Okatse Canyon is closed for visitors, and in such case itinerary would be modified and you would visit other locations on the route After visiting the canyon, you will have the possibility to have a traditional Georgian sweets "Churchkhela" masterclass free of charge. You will take the car to the spectacular Prometheus cave, where you will walk in a beautiful stalactite and stalagmite cave on a 1,5-kilometer route with impressive natural halls, here the group will be accompanied by the local guide, who will tell us in detail about the cave. Before returning to Kutaisi you will have a short stop at once famous and now-abandoned Tskaltubo Sanatorium or a bathhouse where Soviet leaders once used to relax (please keep in mind that some Tskaltubo sanatoriums are being sold and entrance might be restricted). After an active day, in the evening you will come back to Kutaisi, drop of at the meeting point.
