We will meet in Luxembourg to head to Trier, an hour away. This small city will welcome us with its colorful facades and lively squares. Did you know that it is the oldest city in Germany? Our walk through Trier will begin by passing through the Black Gate, the largest Roman-style entrance in the world. Do you think the stone always looked black? We will enter the old town of the city, and we will find the historic Basilica of Constantine. Built in the year 310, the apse houses the throne of the Roman emperor. We will continue in Roman Trier to discover the Amphitheater, a construction from the 2nd century. In it, executions were carried out before 20 thousand spectators. In addition, we can remember their way of life in the Santa Bárbara Hot Springs. They are Cultural Heritage of Humanity! And from history, to politics. Among the alleys of Trier we will find the birthplace of Karl Marx. Its rooms, built in 1727, welcome locals and visitors every day to tell them the history of socialism and communism. We could not leave the city without admiring one of its most important buildings: the Cathedral of San Pedro. Inside we will find altars, tombs and original walls from the 10th century. In addition, if we go down the stairs, we will have the opportunity to meet the guardian of the place. Look in the little corner! To end the day, we will take a walk through the Market Square.
