Great trip, Lenny was thoughtful about every aspect of our day. He knew the best places to stop and was very knowledgeable of the history of Hakone and Japan in general. Hakone speaks for itself in terms of shear beauty, but it’s more enjoyable when you have someone like Lenny in charge of your day. Our tour with Dominic was a perfect escape from Tokyo's bustle, offering a refreshing immersion in Hakone's nature and local charm. Dominic's engaging and informative guidance provided unique insights into Japanese life from a European perspective. The thoughtfully chosen route allowed us to discover hidden gems beyond the typical tourist trail, even offering glimpses of Mt. Fuji amidst the cherry blossoms at local viewpoints. Highlights included a serene visit to Hakone Jinja shrine and the lake, and an unforgettable first-time Onsen experience complete with a relaxing Shiatsu massage. While we missed the main restaurant, a tranquil moment enjoying tea and snacks by a cherry blossom-strewn stream was magical. Dominic's thoughtful detour past Shibuya Crossing on our return was a bonus. This wonderful tour offered a truly unique local experience, and we highly recommend it and Dominic.

Full description
Once here, we will take you along scenic roads, bringing you to viewpoints that offers panoramic views of Mount Fuji, Hakone, and the Sea of Japan. Discover Lake Ashi and visit the Hakone Shrine, one of the most famous shrines in the Kanto area.
Once the hunger settles in, we will reach a special place where you will be able to experience delicious authentic Japanese cuisine (no bento box on a plastic table, except if you want to, of course) and indulge in some of the region's best onsen.
After this relaxing time, we will once again take the road and finish our day at an incredible nearby museum, open air with a beautiful garden if the weather permits, or mesmerizing architecture if it rains.
