It was a wonderful experience—the trip was very well organized (which is not at all surprising, being in Japan). Our guide Mayumi was very professional and patient with all the participants. The highlight of the day was being able to see Mt. Fuji despite the less-than-ideal weather conditions. The included buffet lunch was delicious and came with a beautiful view. We had enough time at each stop; nothing felt rushed, yet we remained on schedule. The views from the top of the cable car lines were stunning.

Full description

Departing from Tokyo, start your day at Mt. Fuji 5th Station and take in one of the most iconic views of Japan. We will drive up to the middle point of Mt. Fuji at 2,305 meters, the highest point accessible by car, where you can enjoy a spectacular view of Mount Fuji from above the clouds.

We'll make a stop at Fuji Q Highland around lunch time, where you can enjoy either a buffet style lunch or light fare of bread and drinks, depending on the option you select.

At Kawaguchiko, your tour guide will hand you your tickets for the ropeway, cable car, and sightseeing cruise, giving you the freedom to explore the area on your own.

Head to the Panoromic Ropeway cable car! The cable car is connected to the top of the mountain at an altitude of 1,075 meters - you can reach the top in just 3 minutes! From the observation deck, in addition to overlooking Lake Kawaguchi, you also enjoy a superb view of Mount Fuji and the Southern Japanese Alps.

If you make your way down the mountain, you can enjoy the Lake Kawaguchiko boat excursion. Set sail from Appare Pier and cruise under the Kawaguchiko Ohashi Bridge to swing by Unoshima, the only island in the Fuji Five Lakes.

After your day full of sightseeing and nature, enjoy a comfortable ride back to Tokyo.

**If the 5th Station is unreachable due to safety reasons, we will pivot to Oshino Hakkai, an idyllic town with great views of Mt. Fuji and eight lakes formed from Fuji's pristine spring water.

Meeting point

The meeting time is at 7:30 AM at the Toranomon Hills Business Tower Bus Terminal 1. Look for the LIMON staff member wearing yellow holding a sign. The bus will promptly leave at 7:40 AM. Please arrive to the station with plenty of leeway to ensure you do not miss the bus, as it will not wait for late arrivals.   • The departing and returning buses are two different vehicles, so please do not bring suitcases, as you will not be able to store them on the bus. We will utilize taxi service to get customers to the attractions in Lake Kawaguchi.
  • Comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended.
  • If the Ropeway or Boat cannot be boarded due to strong winds, etc., you will be taken to alternative facilities around the Lake Kawaguchi Area.
  • The schedule is subject to change due to traffic or weather conditions for safety.
  • If Mt. Fuji 5th station is closed or impassable, the course will be changed to Oshino Hakkai.
  • The vehicle used may vary depending on the number of passengers.
  • Wi-Fi and other amenities (USB charging ports) may vary depending on vehicle type.

Our tour guide was so lovely , he was still learning English but spoke it really well and we had no trouble understanding his instructions. Unfortunately the weather at station 5 wasn’t very foggy but you can’t predict the weather. The cruise was amazing and we did get to see Mt Fuji just not the top. The rope way was smooth and quick. I can imagine the views would be spectacular on a clear day. The bus was comfortable and clean. And we did finally manage to see the top of Mt Fuji on the way back on the bus. Was a great day ! We opted for the cafe lunch which was lovely and we had a few different options, other guest on the tour had the buffet lunch and said that was also great. Over all a lovely day even with the weather
