The day trip was well-paced and entertaining. Although the driver could not speak to us in English, he was polite and remained a professional driving us around safely. The trip started on time and finished at the exact approximate time the guide told us it would. Makoto, the tour guide, was excellent. He was cordially informative, adept in answering queries from us, and he has a manner of cheerfully prodding us to be on time getting back to the bus after each stop. During the trip, he brought print-outs to show us a map of the lakes around Mt. Fuji, taught us the Mt. Fuji song and how to count in Japanese, and shared to us historical insights on Japan as a way to efficiently make use of the time in between stops. Definitely a memorable trip overall!
