We had a great guide, Skerdi, who shared a lot of interesting facts about Albania and Berat and took us in a beautiful restaurant. We had a great time with the group. One thing: I would have more free time in the city.

The Tour was great and Our Guide Adele was friendly and competent, we saw everything that we ecpected from this Tour BUT the timing was very diifferent from description. It said pickup 0900 and duration 6h. We were picked up in Hotel at 0740 already and were back almost 11h later. Because of pickup in different Hotels and cities someone might bei picked up at 0900 but its not neccessarily you. But pickup time was communicated upfront and van arrived right in time. I can fully recommend.

Full description

Begin your tour with a pickup from your hotel in Golem or Durres. Travel to Berat in an air-conditioned vehicle, admiring the views of the countryside, with a stop at Belshi Lake along the way.

Upon arrival, head to the city’s Mangalam Quarter. See major landmarks such as the Bachelors Mosque. Continue to the historic Gorica Bridge, an Ottoman stone bridge that crosses the Osum River and connects the two parts of the city.

Next, cross the bridge and make your way to Berat Castle. Explore the 13th-century landmark, learn about its history from your guide, and admire spectacular views of the city.

Then, visit the Onufri Iconographic Museum (ticket not included) to discover more about Albanian culture. After marveling at the collection of icons and religious art, return to Durres or Golem.
