For almost one thousand years Bergen has been the destination of travelers from all around the world and is Norway’s second largest city, with over 250,000 inhabitants and is estimated to have been founded in 1070. Bergen resounds with music and as well as one of the world’s oldest symphony orchestras, has some of the country’s best choirs, jazz musicians who improvise through the night and operatic singers - it also has the country’s first national theatre and is host to many international festivals. Each ticket is valid for a 1-day period and may be used at any hop-on hop-off bus stop going to all of the top visitor attractions. Héctor gave us a very enjoyable and interesting tour, not only did he show us the most emblematic buildings and areas of Bergen, but he also told us about their society and the way of life here; He even gave us extra time answering our questions.
