Highly recommend Muhammad as a guide—ask for him when you register! He speaks fluent English, and we had great conversations about the mangroves, Thailand, and local life. The tour itself was well-organized, with on-time pickup (though we had a short wait at another stop due to a mix-up). The boat trip lasted about 1.5 hours—could be longer, but still very enjoyable. We did it in the morning, but you might see more animals after noon when the tide is lower. Even so, we saw plenty of monkeys and birds! After the boat ride, they serve rice with egg or chicken, and according to them, there's also a vegan option. The fresh pineapple and watermelon before lunch were definitely vegan and absolutely delicious! A well-paced, not-too-crowded tour with a max of 10 people on the boat—would definitely do it again!
We were picked up when we were told to be picked up. One of only two couples on our long tail. Did a route through the mangroves (low tide & I would recommend this as we saw all the roots, the crabs & the mud banks where the monkeys eat the crabs & mud sliders (fish). Our guide had limited English but he knew the key words. Lots of monkeys & eventually we stopped to give them corn snacks. Not sure I think this is a good idea but the monkeys swim out to the long tail so it was an experience. Meal on return was mediocre but that’s not what we went for.
