What an absolutely amazing experience I honestly love looking at the stars back home but this was just something else - Ozzy was a fantastic guide very knowledgeable and interactive with all the guests ✨ We decided to go with the no meal option and brought our own snacks and there was outdoor seating so perfect to look at the view and eat our meal I looked at the reviews and brought 4 layers 😂 I thought I was over doing it but actually I was nice and warm in comparison to those who wore shorts and T-shirts (listen to the guides and the reviews when people tell you it’s cold, being warm made the experience enjoyable) Will definitely be back in a year or so with my sister who is loves stargazing and all things space as she will learn so much from Ozzy

Ozzie is phenomenal! Funny, witty, and so incredibly knowledgeable about the celestial bodies we viewed. His gear is top notch and the team he has assembled-Santi our driver, the photographers-just spectacular. We started at a delightful restaurant with roast chicken, some Canarias potatoes and two sauces to indulge in 😋. It’s family style so you get to meet with some many other adventurers. Then we took the bus up to watch the sun set behind La Palma just above the clouds. As you’re traversing the mountain road, you see this transition from scrub, to pines and coniferous forests, all just adding to the majesty of the sunset. But the night sky! So many stars, so many clusters of beautiful, twinkling lights. And again, so KNOWLEDGEABLE! It was like going to a planetarium but in real life. You can tell Ozzie loves what he does, and that it’s a joy to guide you through the Tenerife Stars ✨ I will be back when the moon is new and the Milky Way is out!

If you’re an astronomy enthusiast or just looking for a unique experience, then a trip to Teide in Tenerife is a must-do. The island of Tenerife is known for its incredible natural beauty, including its clear skies, making it a prime location for stargazing. Mount Teide, a 3718m volcano, is the highest point in Spain and offers breathtaking views of the night sky. One of the best locations in the world for astronomy.

Join us for an unforgettable experience as we take you on a journey to Teide National Park for a sunset and stargazing tour. You'll get picked up from different meeting points and locations in Costa Adeje, Playa las Americas, and Los Cristianos. The tour will take you on a scenic drive through the stunning landscapes of Tenerife, where you will witness the breathtaking beauty of the island’s natural scenery.

You will witness a spectacular sunset, and the colors of the sky will amaze you as the sun sets behind the horizon, painting the sky with an array of colors that will leave you breathless. From here we'll continue and drive you higher up through the national park Teide and explain to you some history and the great volcanic landscape of the national park until we get to our destination of 2000m altitude.
The stars begin to emerge, and this is where the real magic begins. Teide National Park is known for its excellent stargazing opportunities, as it is located far from any sources of light pollution, offering crystal-clear views of the night sky.
With nearly no light pollution and known as a starlight-certified destination, you may see shooting stars like never before. We will also use powerful lasers to explain to you some of those amazing constellations, important stars and how to find direction navigating using the stars.
Also, we'll use powerful telescopes and show you the moon's surface with great craters. We will take some amazing pictures with your phone through the telescope, and get you the service of the moon (when visible) on your phone screen. We'll see some planets (depending on the time of the year), nebulae, star clusters, double stars, and when the conditions are just right, we could also show you the Andromeda galaxy.
Through some seasons of the year, we could also show you the Milky Way and take pictures of it using your smartphone.
A professional picture session is also available as an option during sunset and stargazing for an extra cost.
At the end of the tour, we will bring you back to your meeting point, leaving you with memories that will last a lifetime.

Know before you go

When booking the option without a meal, including transportation, you'll have around 1 hour of free time at the restaurant while others get to enjoy their meal. You can choose to have a drink at the bar or terrace with nice sea views. You may also bring your snack or picnic. Walking in the area is not possible as it's a roadside restaurant.
Everything you might see through the experience is never the same every day. For example, we are able to show you the surface of the moon only when it's visible. It's not visible every night. When the moon is visible, it doesn't affect the experience in a negative way.
The same thing with planets or galaxies. We can show those at a certain time of the year only. Also, the Milky Way is visible only during the summer season towards the end of autumn.
Sunset views are also different every day. Beautiful from above the clouds. Only when the clouds are at the right heights.
Professional pictures are not included.
Toilets are not available on the bus.
