The tour will take you on a scenic drive through the stunning landscapes of Tenerife, where you will witness the breathtaking beauty of the island’s natural scenery. You will witness a spectacular sunset, and the colors of the sky will amaze you as the sun sets behind the horizon, painting the sky with an array of colors that will leave you breathless. From here we'll continue and drive you higher up through the national park Teide and explain to you some history and the great volcanic landscape of the national park until we get to our destination of 2000m altitude. The stars begin to emerge, and this is where the real magic begins. Teide National Park is known for its excellent stargazing opportunities, as it is located far from any sources of light pollution, offering crystal-clear views of the night sky. With nearly no light pollution and known as a starlight-certified destination, you may see shooting stars like never before. We will also use powerful lasers to explain to you some of those amazing constellations, important stars and how to find direction navigating using the stars. Also, we'll use powerful telescopes and show you the moon's surface with great craters. We will take some amazing pictures with your phone through the telescope, and get you the service of the moon (when visible) on your phone screen. We'll see some planets (depending on the time of the year), nebulae, star clusters, double stars, and when the conditions are just right, we could also show you the Andromeda galaxy. Through some seasons of the year, we could also show you the Milky Way and take pictures of it using your smartphone. A professional picture session is also available as an option during sunset and stargazing for an extra cost. At the end of the tour, we will bring you back to your meeting point, leaving you with memories that will last a lifetime.

Join a day trip from Santa Cruz de Tenerife to Teide National Park, home to Mt. Teide, Spain’s tallest peak at 12,198 feet (3,718 meters). Following pickup from your hotel, head to the park, and explore its lunar landscapes. Take a cable car to the peak and enjoy time at leisure to soak up the views. After getting picked up in the selected location, visit the largest national park in the Canary Islands and experience a volcanic landscape of unrivaled beauty with your Mount Teide cable car ticket. Forget the car and contribute to a sustainable Teide. By choosing group transport, beat overcrowding in the vehicle parking zones inside the national park which, as a conservation measure, are small and unsuitable for expansion. From the base station, board the cable car for the 8-minute ride up to the highest peak in Spain. The cable car’s upper station, at 3,555 meters, is the point of departure for 3 interesting trails for hiking enthusiasts. There are paths to Pico Viejo Lookout and La Fortaleza Lookout, where you’ll have spectacular views of the north and south of the island. The Telesforo Bravo path leads to the highest point of the volcano, at an altitude of 3,718 meters. To visit the peak you must apply for a permit in advance.

You will marvel at the sunset over the islands of La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro from a viewpoint (1400m of elevation), right by a lava flow from a volcanic eruption noted in the ship's log by Cristopher Colombus in 1492. Every sunset is different! You can celebrate this unique experience and take pictures of the beautiful colors of the sky with the sun shining through a glass of Cava (Spanish sparkling wine) we provide. After sunset, if conditions allow (wind, clouds and temperature) we will transfer to another beautiful viewpoint. Our guides will show you stars, constellations and planets using a laser pointer and their storytelling skills. We will explain how to find Polaris, the North Star, using the asterism in Ursa Major, and how to find the Andromeda galaxy using the great square of Pegasus, all while learning some Greek mythology. You will further enjoy the details of planets, galaxies, nebulae and star clusters through the 12" Dobsonian telescope we provide. Depending on the time of the year, you will see: - the Moon, which will be the main object in the sky the days before full moon (and for that, every month special offers apply - the planets and their features such as the rings of Saturn and the Galilean moons around Jupiter when they are visible in the sky (in the summer and autumn months), - beautiful galaxies, nebulae and star clusters such as the Pleiades, also known as the Seven Sisters in the constellation of Taurus (in winter). We will take photos of the guests individually using astrophotography techniques that show the blanket of stars above you. Free of charge! Take home great memories of Tenerife's dark sky!
