Bawan was an excellent guide who went out of the way to ensure I had an enjoyable time. Bawan was also fluent in English and made communication with locals easy. Very nice place. Our guide was great. Spoke good English and had good knowledge. We had rain that day, but that didn't matter. Beautiful and magnificent. The local food we got to try was really good. Duck eggs, kuskin that was cooked in many batches, boiled, fried and seasoned. Gudeg was super good.
Our guide, Rossi, was knowledgeable and lots of fun. We learned lots and laughed as he stage-directed many Instagram worthy photos. The Sultan’s Palace was unexpectedly closed for a visiting dignitary so Rossi diverted to a nearby museum and then back to the palace once it reopened.
Fascinating visit thanks to our French-speaking guide who was very interesting and very kind! We did not expect to receive so much information. He was able to answer all our questions. We just wanted to talk with him for hours. Again, a big thank you to him for this morning.
