Things to do in Takamaka

Start your day off with bus pickup from your hotel and a convenient transfer to the boat launch point. After a meet and greet by the crew, set off on your adventure. First, stop for a 45-minute to 1-hour snorkeling break at one of the chosen locations (dependent on weather and sea conditions). Discover marine life and the colorful underwater world. Climb back on the boat and head over to a beach on Curieuse Island with some time to relax on the beach. Continue the experience with a 1hr guided tour on the island via a nature trail where our guys will explain all that your eyes will be experiencing. Journey over to the other side of the island, where you can sit down to enjoy a Creole BBQ and a local beer. Gaze in awe as giant tortoises roam around you. The crew will also assist you with purchasing the marine park entry ticket. Depart Curieuse Island and head over to St. Pierre or other reefs depending on the weather, where you can take photographs. Finish the tour at Anse La Farine for a final snorkeling stop, or if the sea condition doesnt permit, we go to Anse Georgette & Lazio Beach. End your day with a trademark Takamaka rum cocktail as you slowly cruise back to Praslin Island. Return to the dock and enjoy a convenient return transfer back to your hotel.

Seychelles National Botanical Garden- Admission fee 19$ per person A few minutes from Victoria, this is the ideal place for the nature lovers. Here guest may discover the flora such as the famous Coco de Mer and the fauna of the Seychelles such as the giant tortoises. Did you know there is a time capsule buried here as well? 4. Domaine de Val de Pres At this site, guest will have the chance to explore the colonial structures referred to as the plantation house, visit the Koko gallery and get the chance to experience the ‘Grandma’s know-how’ sessions. The distillery is located on a very old property dating back to the 1700's and has been restored to give you the once in a lifetime experience. in house guides can lead you around the property explaining in details how intricate work goes into making the rum. If you have some time to spare you can always go for a quick dip to finish off a perfect trip. Note: this tour is customizable thus you do not have to visit all the above mentioned sites and they all serve as a guide. We will be taking you to the tea factory which is payable at SCR50.00 per person, whereby you can have a taste of our local teas at the tea boutique, discover the tea making process and history. The Takamaka Bay Rum distillery is also included in the tour whereby you can get a tour of how the distillery operates, enjoy some rum tastings or simply enjoy the calm environment. Our tour will also include the Domain de Val Des Pres where we have the oldest colonial house and variety of shops selling local handicrafts. It’s also includes the coco de mer factory selling local perfumes and teas. Along the way you can get a chance to see a few of our beautiful white sandy beaches and take some pictures at some of our view points.
