Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary

Day 1 You will be picked up from your beach hotel in the early morning hours and depart by road to Taita Hills Game Sanctuary. You will enjoy an amazing game drive along the way. Upon arrival at Taita Hills Lodge, you will have lunch, relax for a while and then head out for a game drive in the sanctuary searching for lion and other wildlife, until sunset. You will then return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay at Salt Lick Lodge or taita hills lodge or similar. This lodge is especially memorable for its imaginative structure. A complex of rondavel sit on stilts over a series of water holes. These two-story towers, topped by peaked thatch roofs connected by open-air-bridges, create an African fantasy of a medieval fortress. The lodge has been built with game viewing in mind. The structure provides you will a panoramic view of the sanctuary; offering spectacular views of the landscape and wildlife. Dinner and overnight at salt lick lodge or taita hills lodge or similar. Day 2: Enjoy an early morning breakfast and then depart for a half day game drive. Around noon you will depart for Mombasa, taking part in a game drive and lunch along the way. Upon arrival in Mombasa, you will be dropped off at your beach hotel. This is where your safari will end.

Upon arrival at Taita Hills, at around 11:00 am, you will have your first game drive searching for wildlife in the sanctuary until 1:30 pm when you will go for lunch at the Taita Hills Resort. After lunch, you will go to the Saltlick safari lodge, check in and relax for about 2 hours. In the evening, you will head out for an evening game drive in the sanctuary searching for lions, elephants, ostriches, zebras and other wildlife, until sunset. Thereafter, you will come back to the saltlick safari lodge for dinner and overnight. The Saltlick Safari lodge is memorable for its imaginative structure. Day 2 Wake up and Enjoy an early morning game drive in the sanctuary then come back for breakfast at the saltlick safari lodge. At around 10:00 am you will depart for Mombasa/diani, taking part in a small game drive on your way out of the sanctuary. You shall arrive in Mombasa/diani at around 3:30 pm and you will be dropped off at your beach hotel. This is the end of your safari.

Day 1: Mombasa / Diani - Tsavo East You will be picked from your Hotel at 6:30 am in the morning, drive along Mombasa Nairobi highway and arrive at Buchuma gate in Tsavo East at around 10:00 am. Here you will begin your game drive. Visit various places including Aruba Dam (the waterhole built by british Army 1952 during Colonial time.) You will see many elephants, man eating lions, buffaloes, zebras etc. You will continue the game drive upto 1:30 pm when you will go to the lodge (lion hills lodge/voi safari lodge/ngutuni lodge or similar) where you will check in and have lunch. After lunch you relax for 2 hours and then head out for a game drive in the park searching for lions, Ostriches, gnues, Gazzelles, Girrafes and other wildlife, until sunset. You will then return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight. Day 2: Tsavo East – Amboseli National Park Wake up and enjoy an early morning breakfast and then depart for a morning game drive in the Tsavo east National park. Around 11:00 am you will leave the park and head to Amboseli National Park. You will arrive at Amboseli at around 1:00 pm and have lunch at AA lodge or similar. After lunch, you relax upto 4:00 pm when you shall go for an evening game drive in the park until sunset. You come back to the AA Lodge, where you will have dinner and spend the night. Day 3: Amboseli National Park - Mombasa/Diani Wake up and enjoy an early morning breakfast and then depart for a morning game drive in the Amboseli National Park searching for lions, Ostriches, gnues, Gazzelles, Girrafes and other wildlife until 11:00 am when You shall leave the park and start the journey back to Mombasa/Diani. Upon arrival in Mombasa/Diani at around 4:00 pm you will be dropped off at your beach hotel. This is the end of your safari.

Day 3: Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary - Mombasa/Diani Wake up and enjoy an early morning breakfast and then depart for a morning game drive in the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary searching for lions, Ostriches, gnues, Gazzelles, Girrafes and other wildlife until 11:00 am when You shall leave the sanctuary and start the journey back to Mombasa/Diani. Upon arrival in Mombasa/Diani at around 4:00 pm you will be dropped off at your beach hotel. This is the end of your safari.

Day 2 Tsavo East National Park - Amboseli National Park Wake up and enjoy an early morning breakfast and then depart for a morning game drive in the Tsavo East National Park searching for lions, Ostriches, gnues, Gazelles, Giraffes and other wildlife until 9:00 am when You shall leave the park and start the journey to Amboseli National Park. You will arrive at Amboseli at around 1:00 pm and have lunch at Sentrim Amboseli lodge/kilima safari camp where you will also check in. After lunch you will relax upto 4:00 pm when you shall go for an evening game drive in the game park until sunset. You come back to the Lodge/camp, where you will have dinner and spend the night. Day 3 Amboseli National Park – Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary Wake up and enjoy an early morning breakfast and then depart for a morning game drive in the Amboseli National Park. Around 9:00 am you will leave the park and head to Taita Hills Wildlife sanctuary. You will arrive at Taita Hills at around 1:00 pm and have lunch at Taita Hills Resort. After lunch you will go to Saltlick Lodge, check in and relax upto 4:00 pm when you shall go for an evening game drive in the sanctuary until sunset. You come back to the Saltlick Lodge, where you will have dinner and spend the night. Day 4 Taita Hills Wildlife sanctuary - Mombasa/Diani/Nairobi Wake up and enjoy an early morning breakfast and then depart for a morning game drive in the Taita Hills Wildlife sanctuary searching for lions, Ostriches, gnues, Gazelles, Giraffes and other wildlife until 9:00 am when You shall leave the sanctuary and start the journey back to Mombasa/Diani/Nairobi. Embark on a 2-day safari from Mombasa or Diani to Taita Hills Game Sanctuary through Tsavo East National Park. Enjoy a game drive, a stay at Salt Lick Lodge, and a game drive before returning to Mombasa Day 1: Mombasa/Diani to Saltlick through Tsavo East On day 1, (0530hrs) be picked up from your beach hotel in the early morning hours and depart by road to the first gate to Tsavo East national park. Short stopover before entering the park via Bachuma gate. Embark on your first game viewing exercise in search of the red Elephants, lions nicknamed the “Man eaters of Tsavo”, Buffalo, Cheetah, Giraffe, Antelopes etc. Visit the famous Aruba dam where lots of wildlife can be seen especially during the dry season. Later proceed to a restaurant for lunch (sentrim lodge). After Lunch, leave for another game drive in this largest National Park in Kenya before your exit to arrive at Taita Hills Game Sanctuary. You will see many elephants, man eating lions, buffaloes, zebras etc. You will continue the game drive upto 12 noon on route to leave the national park heading to Taita Hills wildlife sanctuary. Upon arrival at Taita Hills Wildlife sanctuary, you will have lunch at around 1:30 pm at the Taita Hills Lodge, relax for 2 hours and then head out for a game drive in the sanctuary searching for lions, Ostriches, gnues, Gazzelles, Girrafes and other wildlife, until sunset.
