The day trip from Sliema to Gozo, Comino and the Blue Lagoon was great. I will say get there earlier than stated as the top desk open air seats fill up quickly. We got there 20 minutes before departure and majority of the seats were taken. I think they could improve my providing a bigger boat with more spacious seating - you are packed like sardines for the 1 hour trip there and back, not ideal. Gozo was a lovely quaint town - I got the ticket including the bus to the capital rather than being dropped at the Port and left to your own devices. I don’t know what else there is to see but Victoria (mainly the Citadel) was worth while a walk around. You only stop at Comino for the Blue Lagoon and there is not much on Comino. Food trucks selling the same burgers and fries so be prepared and perhaps eat in Gozo. Do expect the Blue Lagoon to be incredibly busy. Plenty of time allocated to each place, nothing felt rushed. The captain was great and kept you informed. Overall, great trip.

This activity was fantastic and it was our favourite day during the our trip to Malta. The boat ride was informative and smooth to all the locations. The trip to Gozo was great, however we would have liked longer there to fully explore the Citedel and other things in the capital, but we understood the time restraints. Final stop at the Blue Lagoon we also really enjoyed too. We were grateful to have a space to swim with the ship as it was very crowded there when we visited. Really great value for money and friendly staff. Would highly recommend!

Full description

Departing from Sliema Ferries in the morning, you will travel north towards the island of Gozo, admiring Malta's northern shoreline and taking in the gorgeous seascapes, witnessing the rugged coastline, and other attractions that dot the coastline.

When you arrive at Mgarr Harbour (Gozo's major port), you will board one of our buses that will take you to Victoria (the capital city of Gozo). On the way to Victoria, you will have a photo stop of approximately 15 minutes at one of Gozo's gorgeous bays and drive by different attractions, such as churches and other landmarks, admiring the magnificent countryside and stunning landscape and taking in the impressive beauty and special charm of this tiny island.

You will make a second stop of approximately 75 minutes at Victoria, the capital of Gozo. Here, you can enjoy some free time to simply roam around the city, have a coffee or snack at one of the many cafes, or visit one of the city's shopping centres. Within the city of Victoria, you can also visit the majestic Citadel, an imposing medieval fortress being considered by UNESCO as a possible World Heritage Site.

After the sightseeing tour, you will cruise towards the island of Comino. Get ready to be amazed by the turquoise, crystal-clear waters of the famous Blue Lagoon. Here you will stop for approximately 90 minutes to swim, sunbathe, snorkel, or simply enjoy a walk in the countryside of Comino Island.

The island of Comino is also worth visiting during the off-season months when it might be too cold to swim at the Blue Lagoon. With no cars or urban areas, it is an excellent destination for hikers and photo enthusiasts. It provides many hiking trails leading to St. Mary's Chapel, St. Mary's Watch Tower, and St. Mary's Battery.

After stopping at the Blue Lagoon, you will cruise by the stunning Comino Caves before heading back to Sliema.

Passes can be acquired through the official government website blcomino.com. Please make sure to plan ahead, as the daily pass allocation is limited. For this cruise, please ensure you select the afternoon slot when applying for your pass. Kindly note that this is a government-mandated regulation and not a policy introduced by us. No refunds will be provided if you can't access the lagoon without a pass. It's the customer's responsibility to secure one.
