Phnom Penh Battambang Siem Reap Angkor Wat 6 day return tour

Experience the most notable sites of Cambodia with this 6 day tour starting in Phnom Penh, continuing to Battambang, making your way to Siem Reap to take in the famous Angkor Wat and return to Phnom Penh.

Day One:
Start with pick-up from your hotel in Phnom Penh. Commence the day in Phnom Penh by learning about the darker history of the Khmer Rouge at the Genocide Museum (S21) followed by a visit to the Killing Fields.
Visit a number of notable highlights back in the city centre including the Independence Monument, Sihanouk Statue, Royal Palace, Wat Ounalom and Wat Phnom.
Stay Overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day Two:
Drive to Battambang in the comfort of air-conditioned SUV.
In the afternoon take in the lookout over Battambang, Phnom Sampov and Killing Cave there before finishing the evening at the infamous Bat Cave with thousands of bats flying at sunset.
Stay overnight in Battambang.

Day Three:
Spend the morning riding the Bamboo Train, visiting the Killing Fields Monument, and the iconic Black Man Roundabout of Central Battambang.
Travel to Siem Reap in the afternoon.
Stay overnight in Siem Reap.

Day Four:
The ultimate highlight - Angkor Wat and surrounding temples. Start early at approximately 5am for sunrise at Angkor Wat or take a more relaxed approach and start a little later. Purchase the Angkor Park Pass on the way in the morning, no matter the time, and be at Angkor Wat for sunrise if you choose this option. Take as much time as you need exploring Angkor Wat, followed by Angkor Thom City, Bayon Temple, Terrace of the Elephants and Leper King, Ta Phrom Temple (Tomb Raider Temple) and Banteay Kdei, all within the Angkor Park Archeological Complex.
Be returned back to your hotel in Siem Reap on conclusion of the day.

Day Five:
Take a 1hr journey into the Kulen mountains nearby Siem Reap and spend the morning at taking in the countryside views from the huge rocky outcrop lookout, swim at the waterfall, see ancient river bed rock carvings and mountain top temple.
Return to Siem Reap for an afternoon of relaxed boat ride through the Floating village onto to the Tonle Sap Lake for sunset.
Stay overnight in Siem Reap.

Day Six:
The final day of the tour sees you visit the Apopo Rat Landmine Clearing Centre where these intelligent rats are trained to sniff out landmines for clearing allowing country to be reclaimed for living and agriculture and saving lives in the process.
Commence the return journey back to Phnom Penh stopping at the Insect Spider Market on the way.
Tour ends in Phnom Penh.
