Sea To Sky Highway

Spectacular sights and rugged wilderness is found just out of reach of Downtown Vancouver. Board your mini-coach and tour the famous Sea to Sky Highway along Howe Sound, the southernmost glacial fjord in North America. Feel the spray from British Columbia’s third-highest waterfall, Shannon Falls, while standing on the viewing platform. Next it is on to the Sea to Sky Gondola. Board the gondola and ascend 850-metres (930-yards) to the top to soak up the panoramic perspectives of Howe Sound cradled by the Coast Mountains. It’s here that you can cross the Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge and walk along forest trails to the observation platforms. Your tour then continues North to Whistler Resort where you will join a short guided walking tour of Whistler Village (optional). After learning a bit about Whistler and getting a lay of the land, there is plenty of free time to explore at your own pace. Visit the shops, stop in an art gallery, or do as the locals do and find the perfect patio along the village stroll for a moment to relax at this stunning mountain resort. Whistler Resort is renowned as an outdoor mecca, so feel free to ask about additional activities you can take part in during your free time in the village. When your time in Whistler is coming to an end, get to enjoy the scenic tour back along the Sea to Sky Highway to where your tour began.

Start your day with a private ride from Vancouver to Whistler, where you’ll be treated to stunning views of the ocean, towering mountains, and impressive glaciers. At the top, you’ll have time to eat lunch, hike the scenic trails, and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountain ranges and the striking turquoise waters of Howe Sound. Then, we will continue our journey north along the Sea to Sky Highway to reach Whistler Village, a renowned destination known for its charming, pedestrian-only streets. Spend your time exploring its world-class restaurants, boutique shops, or simply strolling through the village. You will have 4 hours of free time. As your day winds down, head back to Vancouver and catch the sunset along the way.

Here, we’ll take a longer break to rest, enjoy the scenery, and snap some photos. Lunch Break: Next, we’ll find a picturesque spot near Middle Joffre Lake for our 45-minute to one-hour lunch break. Everyone is encouraged to bring a packed lunch. We’ll relax, eat, and take in the stunning surroundings, and ill be your very own private photographer, instagram worthy. Upper Joffre Lake: Re-energized, we tackle the final stretch to Upper Joffre Lake. This section involves a series of switchbacks and a moderate climb. Upon arrival, we are greeted by the majestic sight of Matier Glacier and the pristine waters of the upper lake. This is a perfect spot to unwind, reflect on the hike, and appreciate the awe-inspiring landscape and take more pictures!! Drive Back: Our return drive along the Sea to Sky Highway is a final opportunity to enjoy the scenic vistas. Watersprite Lake Hike Description Departure and Scenic Drive: We start on a scenic drive on Sea-to-Sky highway, towards the trailhead. The drive itself offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains. It is one of the most beautiful highways in Canada. Trailhead and Hike Commencement: We start our journey on a well-marked path that winds through dense forests, offering glimpses of local wildlife and diverse plant life. Majestic Mountains and First Glimpse: Continuing our hike, we catch our first glimpse of Watersprite Lake from a higher vantage point. The lake’s stunning green-blue water, nestled among majestic mountains, looks like it’s straight out of a fairy tale. We’ll pause here to take in the view, snap some photos. Arrival at Watersprite Lake: Upon reaching Watersprite Lake, we are greeted by its clear, emerald waters and the serene, untouched beauty of the area. The lake is surrounded by impressive mountain peaks, creating a truly magical setting. We’ll take a break here to relax, enjoy our packed lunches, and take plenty of photos. Swimming and Exploration: For those who wish, there’s the opportunity to swim in the refreshing, crystal-clear waters of Watersprite Lake. This hidden gem offers a unique and memorable experience. We’ll also explore the area around the lake, discovering small streams, rocky outcrops Descent and Return: After spending ample time at the lake, we’ll begin our descent. The return journey provides new perspectives on the landscape, with chances to spot more wildlife and enjoy the peacefulness of the forest.

Take a day trip to discover Horseshoe Bay Village, Shannon Falls, and Whistler from Vancouver. Enjoy included pickup and drop-off at selected hotels in Vancouver. After pickup, drive through downtown Vancouver and down the meandering roads of the 1,000-acre Stanley Park. Continue over the Lions Gate Bridge before stopping at Horseshoe Bay, a quaint little town at the entrance of Howe Sound and the home of the British Columbia Ferry Terminal. After Horseshoe Bay, head up the scenic Sea to Sky Highway to the beautiful Shannon Falls. Once there, take a short hike to get up close to British Columbia's third-tallest waterfall. On the first day, enjoy a city tour that includes Downtown, Stanley Park, Canada Place, Gastown, and Chinatown as well as enjoy all sightseeing before your departure. On the 2nd day, take a scenic drive along the Sea to Sky Highway, passing by Horseshoe Bay, Shannon Falls, and Squamish. Ride on the Squamish Mountain Sea to Sky Gondola and shop in the village before arriving at Whistler. After sightseeing in Whistler, relax in the village, or experience the excitement of snowshoeing for free. On the last day, depart for Vancouver Island by ferry and capture the spectacular scenery en route.
