Now a famous beauty spot, it was here that “Bonnie” Dundee's Jacobite army utilised their Highland Charge strategy to inflict defeat upon the British Redcoats. Continue to the Hermitage woodland walk. This lovely riverside stroll winds past some of the tallest trees in Britain to a spectacular waterfall and viewpoint where salmon can often be seen leaping the falls.
