The guide Gaetano gave us a complete picture of how people lived in the caves and in the centuries that followed. He provided a lot of information about how people lived in the caves and how they collected water. A very friendly, patient guide with a wealth of knowledge. We really enjoyed the tour and learned a lot.

Private guide was definitely the way to go. Easier to ask questions and hear all the information. Tour was very informative. Wish there were a few more stops of some of the missed historical sites as our guide was a slow walker.
