RED STONES

We will pick you up at the meeting point in the morning to begin the trip out of the city. The tour to Piedras Rojas and Lagunas Altiplánicas will take us through important tourist sites within the Atacama Desert. To get to the Piedras Rojas lagoon, or the Aguas Calientes salt flat as it is also known, we will have to drive up to 3,800 meters above sea level and walk for 1 hour and 15 minutes, to see these copper-colored rocks, as well as the lagoons and salt flats around them. Afterwards, we will move to the Miscanti and Miñiques Altiplánicas lagoons sector, where our guide will give us some explanations regarding the flora and fauna that inhabit the place. We will also make a stop at the Chaxa lagoon, where you will be able to see flamingos. In the same way, we will pass through Socaire and the Tropic of Capricorn, where we will make a short stop to take photos. Then, we will return to San Pedro de Atacama to finish our tour.
