Ruta Chile has ZEROOOOO communication with you. They contracted out the tours to a company called Layana and they were incredible. Truly professional and knowledgeable, but ruta Chile? I’m actually impressed with how bad they are. They sent an “itinerary” that just has the locations/dates and say something like “7am-7:30” which I later found out through Layana was a pickup time. I thought it was weird it only had a 30 min time on there… turns out There is a 30 min window which ruta Chile didn’t say at all. Again, shoutout to Layana for doing all the work. I couldn’t get in touch with them to know when my transfer from Calama was, I just kinda flew in and hoped for the best. Now I’m about to leave and they don’t respond. I called, texted, emailed and even got Get Your Guide involved and even THEY can’t reach them. They just take your money and ghost. They also didn’t bother to tell Layana that I’m a vegetarian so that was fun. Also I’m Chilean so there was ZERO language barrier
