Issac was a fabulous guide, who knew so much about local plants and wildlife. Transportation / pickup made it easy to see El Yunque without a car. Group size of a dozen was perfect for getting to know others without the burden of too many. Good combo of forest walk (wear suitable shoes) and soaking in a swimming hole for half an hour. Lunch stop was very good, authentic roadside food.

The guide was great, super informative and we felt safe and comfortable on the tour. The ice water was nice to have and the drive was comfortable. Was hoping for a bit more of hiking into the rainforest than we did but the outing was good.

Full description

Customers will be pick up at their place if staying old San Juan, condado or isla verde, drive up to the mountain during that time we talk about history, culture of the island, once at the forest we head straight to an observation tower about 1600 feet above sea level for a great 360 degree view of the forest and a nice view of Atlantic Ocean, then we will see from the Vehicle an 85 feet tall waterfall for pictures, then start going down to do a short low impact nature walk that will lead us to a river for a refreshing swim (weather permitted), after 35-40 minutes swim you will walk back to the van and head to a local fruit market for lunch (not included), once everybody eats we drive back to drop the customers at the different pick up points.

  • Hotel pick up and drop off, tour guide, water bottles.
  • No food is provided, there is a lunch stop at a local fruit market, típical puertorican food, fresh fruits and smoothies. All at own expenses

We had such a fun tour. Isaac was an absolutely amazing guide - so knowledgeable and led our group on a fantastic day. He shared so much about the history of the island, the culture, the rainforest, etc. - even gave us good restaurant and activity recommendations. Highly recommend!
