I really enjoyed the day out exploring, Poas Volcano was amazing we got a really good view of the crater and some mini eruptions. La Paz waterfalls is beautiful, it is a shame you can't have a dip in the water like La Fortuna waterfalls. Our guide Alonso was lovely he had great energy, was friendly and informative. The cheese and wine tasting was an ok experience, it felt really chaotic as it was a tourist trap so was just bus loads of people being thrown around from side to side not really understanding anything. Our guide did a personal tour around Doka Plantation which was really nice and we could ask a lot of questions, the coffee tasting is in the souvenir shop so it is more of a help yourself type setup. All in all I really enjoyed the day out exploring, Poas Volcano was definitely the highlight! Thank you Alonso :)

My family and I got to Ondina Cafe early so that we could eat lunch and it was a laid back place with good food. We enjoyed our walking tour with our guide Raquel immensely. She was friendly and so informative. We could tell that she loved her job. We were all excited to see the hanging nests of the Montezuma Oropendela. And we got really lucky and found a sloth sleeping in a tree close to the walking path. Raquel also did an excellent job getting pictures of birds and sloths with the telescope. This tour was exactly what we were looking for!

The tour provided a much closer look at the wildlife than some of my other tours in Costa Rica. The sloths and birds are clearly used to the campus environment and therefore easier to photograph. The guides were really friendly and very knowledgeable.
