I highly recommend doing this tour on your first day in San Francisco! You get to see all the neighborhoods and districts and get on and off the bus whenever and wherever you choose...but grab it first thing in the morning because there is SO MUCH to see! We picked up the tour near Pier 39 so it was conveniently located near our hotel. You definitely need to ride across the Golden Gate bridge on the second (open) level of the bus!!! AMAZING!
Great open top bus. Good audio commentary with free head phones to listen to. Easy to find pick up points and the start of the tour. It was very windy and cold going over the Golden Gate Bridge (March 2025) as obviously you are exposed. Just bear in mind if you are elderly or toddlers. We stayed up on top of the bus it’s not too long a journey across and is very doable, just down to each persons preference

- The first tour of the day departs from Stop #1 – Big Bus Tours Visitors Center at 10:00 AM with the last tour of the day departing at 5:00 PM. Headphones will be provided upon arrival, however, feel free to use your own.
- Hop-on Hop-off tour ticket is valid during operating hours for 24/48 hours after first use.
- Blazing Saddles offers Big Bus Tours customers 1 hour free with the purchase of a 1-hour bike rental.
