Enjoy a whale-watching experience in the Bay of Samaná, where humpback whales visit every year and see these beautiful creatures up close on this unique whale-watching tour. Explore the Bay of Samaná, which plays host to thousands of humpback whales during winter’s mating season. Take in this amazing experience with local and specialized guides, and enjoy snacks on board such as coconut, soda, and water. Meet first at the tour office and gather with the rest of the tour members and specialized staff at the dock, then depart from the private dock in Samaná at 9:00 am. Travel through the beautiful Bay of Samaná in search of the Humpback whales all the way to the Marine Mammal Sanctuary. Marvel at the aquatic wildlife and beautiful scenery in the Bay of Samaná, and experience a unique and exciting whale-watching tour before returning back to the dock around 12:30 pm.

We left 1 hour late, but we had a very big boat and the trip took 45 minutes longer than planned. But most importantly: We saw around 10 humpback whales. Great experience 😊

The 42 Euro tour with Cayo Levantado and lunch is the same tour as the 55 Euro tour. Both tours start at 10am and only have 45 minutes of observation time, and the return trip is at 11:30am. 55 Euro for 45 minutes of whale watching, 42 Euro for 45 minutes of whale watching with Cajo Levantado and food. Everyone is in the same boat and those who pay more even go straight home. NOT a 3.5 hour tour. The maximum permitted stay in the marine park is also only 45 minutes. A rip off! So book the cheaper tour, the 55 Euro tour is NOT longer.
