Salinas del Janubio

Explore the diverse landscapes of Lanzarote on a full-day bus tour of the island and compare the north and south. Get pick-up from your hotel in Playa Blanca, Arrecife, Puerto de Carmen, or Costa Teguise and journey to Timanfaya National Park to see the lunar landscapes formed by the last eruptions of the 18th century. Explore the central-southern part of the island, from the volcanic landscapes of La Geria vineyards to charming villages like Tinajo. Travel the road to Timanfaya National Park and the Fire Mountains, then head to Yaiza and the Salinas de Janubio, where you can see where salt is produced. Visit the fishing village of El Golfo, and stop in Los Hervideros to snap awesome photos and change drivers.

After paperwork and a briefing, you will have a chance to do a short test drive on the parking site at our base. When you get the hang of it and are confident, we will get started with the guided tour. First we head to the center of the island, crossing the volcanic landscapes filled with vineyards, plantations, and typical Canarian villages. Then, we reach the other side and the north shore in La Santa. The tour will take you along the road in Timanfaya where you will be surrounded by lava on your way to the beautiful Yaiza. Other highlights include the fisherman village of El Golfo, with its natural green lake; the old plantations of salt of Janubio; and the Golfo area, where most days you can see the green lake. There are some stops during the trip, to take photos and change drivers if required, which can change depending on the driving and your mood.
