This was a very good trip. I guide was exceptional. It is a lot to pack into one day, so beware, it is a long day. The Pompeii ruins are huge and the tour gives a nice overview of each type of structure, the history, the people....but Pompeii is big. We did spend some time on a bus tour, not my favorite, but after the walking at Pompeii, people enjoyed the break. The time in Naples is limited, so do not plan for a lot.
