We had a wonderful day. Everything from finding the meeting point to the train and bus journeys to the actual Pompeii visit and the wine tasting was stress free and amazing. Our guides for the day, Lucas and Felicia, were great. They were knowledgeable, clearly experienced and answered any questions we had. The train ride was so smooth (you wouldn't know it was going 290kph at some points) and calm and definitely worth paying the extra for (as someone who gets travel sick in vehicles). Pompeii was amazing. The time there is limited, so you don't get to see everything but you still see and learn so much, along with seeing bits that are being worked on at the moment. The vineyard was beautiful, the food wonderful and the wine was just lovely too. It was a fantastic way to end the day. Overall, the experience was more that I hoped for and I would do it all again tomorrow! Definitely recommend.

We met at the train terminal in Rome. High speed train to Naples & then a minibus to Pompeii. We had a fantastic lunch with wine tasting at a local Pompeii winery. Then off to the Pompeii site & thorough excellent tour with Kiara.. Back to the train station & arrived in Rome by sunset! Fantastic day. Thank you!!!

Our all-inclusive tour by high-speed train will have you traveling with the utmost comfort, quality, and convenience. We’ll reach Naples in one hour, and from there — in just 35 minutes by private coach — we arrive at the ancient ruins of Pompeii where your expert local guide will amaze you during a walking tour of this city devastated by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in AD 79.

Experience a world frozen in time as you stroll along the cobblestone ancient roads where perfectly conserved ancient bakeries, shops, stalls, residences, public baths, and even brothels remain! Take in the tragic plaster casts of the Pompeiians who were immortalized on that devastating day by pyroclastic flow and ash.

Upon conclusion of the guided tour in Pompeii, visit a prize-winning vineyard nearby to taste four of the wines produced in the fertile volcanic soil of Mt. Vesuvius followed by a leisurely light lunch where local specialties take center stage. After enjoying an abundance of antipasti, a first course, and dessert your driver will transfer you to Naples for the return trip to Rome by high-speed train.

We really enjoyed this trip despite the train delays on both legs. Our tour guide, Kiera, was very reassuring that she would not allow the delays to impact our tour experience and she delivered. The stop at the winery was very enjoyable with a tasty lunch and complimentary wine tasting of the unique wines of this region. Pompeii was mesmerizing and having Kiera there to share insights and facts enhanced the experience.
