We started with a feeder bus which was unexpected but on time and Bryndis was lovely and quirky! We had a wait for our actual tour bus but Bryndis kept us entertained. When we got on our way with Roman he was great all day, shared lots of knowledge, made sure we knew where were, what we could do and for how long. He also walked with us to the glacier and helped us get info to book a last minute Northern Lights tour, we couldn't do it with Bus Travel which was a shame, we managed to get booked with RE but his help meant a lot to us so thank you Roman, true sign of putting the customer first! And he was right we had a wonderful display! Long day but we covered all bases including the wonderful Sky Lagoon and even the taxi driver back to town was great! All in all, well organised friendly and would definitely use Bus Iceland again.
Our tour guide (Svara?) was highly knowledgeable and entertaining. Despite some challenging weather at times, she made sure that we were able to enjoy all the stops by slightly altering timings when up-to-date weather information came in. She was also more than happy to answer questions along the way. The commentaries and personal stories made the time on the bus pass quickly (you will be spending quite a long time on the bus!). The tour itself was well put together and our personal highlight was the Sky Lagoon with the 7 step spa ritual. We only spent 2 hours here and could have easily spent longer relaxing in the hot waters after a long day sight seeing. I would advise other travellers to bring drinks/snacks as a backup…. Whilst we did have several comfort stops (at service station-type places), the lunch stop at Reynisfjara beach was expensive and the queues were very long. We did the tour in March and it was very cold at times, even on the bus, so warm clothing a must.
