"Sufeng Yayun" was established in 1998, based in the "Land of Abundance" (Sichuan Province), and oriented towards both domestic and international audiences. It comprehensively showcases the authentic folk arts of Western Sichuan and classical Chinese opera. It is the only large-scale, multifunctional pear garden destination in Sichuan that integrates traditional Chinese art performances, opera, and theater supplies. It has been jointly included in the list of key national cultural and tourism projects by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the National Tourism Administration. "Sufeng Yayun" is located within the ancient buildings of Qingyang Palace on the Qintai Ancient Path in Chengdu, Sichuan, China. It is adjacent to the historic Qingyang Palace (a famous Taoist temple), and it harmoniously complements the nearby Du Fu Thatched Cottage (the former residence of the famous Tang Dynasty poet Du Fu) and Wuhou Shrine (built in memory of Zhuge Liang). The architecture of Sufeng Yayun is simple and carries the dignified and leisurely atmosphere of ancient Sichuan. It has witnessed the rise and fall of a hundred years and has long been a gathering place for famous Sichuan opera actors. It is a deeply rooted folk opera venue in Sichuan. Gaiwan Tea / Covered Bowl Tea is a traditional Chinese way of drinking tea, using a gaiwan, which is a small tea bowl with a lid, to brew the tea. This tea set consists of three parts: the bowl, the lid, and the saucer. When brewing tea, the lid is gently pressed and rotated to control the concentration of the tea and to maintain its temperature. The performance program at Sufeng Yayun has an approximate duration of 80 minutes and includes the following segments: 1. Opening Drum and Gong Performance - "Nao Tai" 2. One-Act Play 3. Huqin (a traditional Chinese stringed instrument) Performance - "Huqin" 4. Folk Music Performance - "Penna" 5. Puppetry Performance - "Puppet Show" 6. Selected Sichuan Opera Scenes 7. Shadow Play - "Hand Shadow" 8. Rolling Lights 9. Fire-Breathing and Face-Changing Performance Please note: The content and sequence of the performance program mentioned above may be subject to change, and the actual performance on the day of the event will take precedence. The show start at 20:00pm/20:30pm/16:00pm/18:00pm and the show lasts for 80 minutes, kindly arrive 15 mins earier.

Chengdu Shufeng Yayun was founded in 1998. It is based in Chengdu and faces the world. It fully displays the authentic folk art and classic operas of Western Sichuan. It is a large-scale multifunctional opera resort in Sichuan that integrates traditional Chinese art performances, folk special stunts, operas, and drama supplies. It is listed in the "National Cultural Tourism Key Project List - Tourism Performance Category" jointly by the Ministry of Culture of China and the China Tourism Administration. The Sichuan Provincial Intangible Cultural Heritage Office has awarded Shufeng Yayun the "Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritance Base". Shu Feng Yayun has been popular for thousands of years, and the elegant charm has been passed down for hundreds of years. Shufeng Yayun is located in the ancient building complex of Qingyang Palace in Qintai Gujing, Chengdu, Sichuan, China. It is adjacent to the ancient famous Qingyang Palace across the wall, and is in a distant response to Du Fu Thatched Cottage and Wuhou Temple. The architecture of Shufeng Yayun is simple and has the style of ancient Western Shu. It was once a century-old opera garden with ups and downs. It has long been a Sichuan Opera Actor Club where famous actors gather. It is a folk opera garden with deep roots in Sichuan. Resident performances at 8 o'clock every night, experience the thousand-year-old Western Shu civilization in one night. Drink gaiwan tea, watch traditional dramas, and experience and appreciate traditional opera culture.

A lovely evening out watching some traditional Chinese performances. The face-changing was brilliant at the end.
