Day One: Puerto Maldonado to the Lodge. Upon arrival at airport or bus station in Puerto Maldonado, we will meet you and transfer you to our office to make a registration. After a well-deserved lunch, we will start our Canopy Tower. It stands at 35 meters high, and we will zip-line through the forest. Later we will start our next activity, where we will take our boat and stream through the Madre de Dios River in search of the Jungle caimans. They are generally on the banks of Madre de Dios River with luck we may see the capybara the world's largest rodent that can weigh 60 kilos impressive family of the Peruvian cuy. Enjoy dinner and a good sleep back at the lodge. **NOTE:. Arrival flight must be before 13:00hs for transportation. Day 2: Lake Sandoval. After an early breakfast, take a short walk (three kilometers/two miles) to Lake Sandoval, which is a piranha habitat; one of the largest in the Tambopata National Reserve. Take a rowing boat with the guide to appreciate the many different species of birds and monkeys including hoatzin, cormorant, jacanas, heron, eagles, howler monkey, squirrel monkey, black capuchin, tamarins, and sloths. If you are lucky, you will meet a family of giant river otters, each at almost two meters long, who are in danger of extinction. Perhaps you will see the largest alligator ever recorded at over four meters long. Enjoy a typical lunch at the lodge. In the evening, take a night walk to appreciate the diversity of insects, amphibians, reptiles, and other nocturnal animals here. Have dinner and another night at the lodge. Day 3: Parrots And Parakeet’s Clay Lick – Puerto Maldonado Very early in the morning, we will leave our lodge to reach the Parrots and parakeets salte licks. Early each Day, they come to eat rich clay that provides them with the salts and minerals necessary to metabolize and neutralize the toxins and acids of the flowers, fruits, and seeds upon which they feed. We will return to the lodge around 7am for breakfast and take our boat back to Puerto Maldonado, our boat departures at 10:30am. Follow by transfer to airport or bus station. End of our service! **NOTE:. Return flight must be after 13:00hs for transportation

Day 1: Start the tour with pickup from Puerto Maldonado Airport. Your guide will be waiting for you right in front of the exit with a sign with your name on it so you can find them easily. We can go by car or boat to our jungle house, located on the Tambopara river. Check in to your cabin then set off for your first jungle tour. Walk for about 2 kilometers through the jungle searching for monkeys, brown agoutis, and butterflies as you learn about the trees and plants which grow there. When it gets dark, begin your night adventure on the river to go in search of caimans and capybaras. Enjoy this exciting tour with the opportunity to learn all about the animals and take pictures.  Day 2: On the next day, visit Lake Sandoval which is located in the heart of Tambopata National Reserve. Here, observe the many bird species, caimans, turtles, monkeys, and giant otters that live here. Return back to your accommodation for a short rest before embarking on your next night activity. Later, head into the rainforest at night, following your guide through the dark jungle in search of night monkeys, tarantulas, frogs, insects, and other nocturnal animals.  Day 3 On day 3, embark on a kayaking adventure, heading downstream to the Monkey Island. When you land on the island, go for a walk searching for monkeys and observe them in their native environment. Enjoy the opportunity to feed and take pictures with them. After lunch, visit a local indigenous family and learn about their culture and way of life.  Day 4: Start your final day pretty early and head to the clay lick to see the parakeets, parrots and 2 species of small macaws. On the way back, search for sloths. After breakfast, your guide will take you to the perfect spot for bird watching and take you for piranha sport fishing. By around 11 AM, head back to the main office from where you will be taken to the airport or bus station and your tour concludes.

Program 4 Days / 3 Nights Arrival to Puerto Maldonado (Biodiversity Capital of Peru) Day 1: Reception at the airport or bus station and transfer to the office of Monte Amazonico Lodge for relevant information about the tour. Transfer to the port where we will get the boat for an hour to our lodge. Welcome meeting with a refreshing fruit juice of our region. Installation in our respective rooms. After lunch, we will visit the "Monkey Island", located in front of our lodge across the Madre de Dios River. In the night we go for caiman search they are generally on the banks of Madre de Dios River this time will need to bring a flashlight. With luck we may see the capybara the world's largest rodent that can weigh 60 kilos impressive family of the Peruvian cuy; back to the lodge, dinner and night at the lodge. Day 2 After early breakfast will do a short boat ride to the entrance of the lake Sandoval, after checking at the check point we will walk 3 kilometers (2 miles approx.) to the Lake Sandoval (piranha habitat) one of the largest in the Tambopata National Reserve, after the nice walk the guide will get a rowing boat where we will have our navigation on the lake to appreciate many different birds and monkeys Species (Hoatzin cormorant Jacanas, puma heron, eagles, howler monkey, squirrel monkey, black capuchin, tamarins and sloths). Maybe we will meet with the family of giant river otters (almost two meters long) they are in danger of extinction and the largest alligator recorded over 4 meters long, return to the lodge to enjoy a typical lunch. In the evening we will do a night walk where we can appreciate the diversity of insect, amphibians, reptiles and other nocturnal animals. - Dinner and rest Day 3. 5.30a.m. Morning in the jungle. The canopy Walk-Way, will let us see the rainforest from a different perspective, at about 30 meters high, the bridges will allow us to appreciate nature from a high altitude, we will have a panoramic view of the Rio Madre de Dios. From platforms you can observe different species of birds such as toucans, macaws, tanagers, orioles and much more, this will be a wonderful experience. After breakfast we prepare for an activity full of adrenaline on the trees at more than 30 meters high. We will do the zip-line, for this activity will have an instructor guide, who will give as a talk about how to use the safety harness during the Zip-line activity, feeling the rush of gliding through the trees, the experience will be forever with you, there is two cables than support more than 3 tones, back to the Lodge.- Lunch and rest. In the afternoon the challenge is to cross the Madre de Dios River kayaking, on the way we can appreciate the fascinating sunset. Then we can make an artisanal fishing in the Madre de Dios River, with a little patience we will see some fish species such as catfish. DAY 4 Breakfast and return to the city, transfer to the airport and / or bus station.

Day 1: Puerto Maldonado – Jungle Lodge – Caiman Area You will be welcome at the airport or bus station once you arrive in Peru’s biodiversity capital (Puerto Maldonado). After meeting your team, you will go to the port boat to board a motorized riverboat. Then you will navigate on the Madre de Dios River for 1 hour approximately before arriving at the Tambopata reserve zone. There you will be welcomed by our adventure staff and get an introduction to our lodge lands. Then your guide will organize the bungalow for your stay. Then, you can discover the lodge, or if you prefer, you can take some time to rest while your chef will be preparing your lunch with some local products. After a satisfying lunch, the group will convene to embark on an adventure to Monkey Island, situated just in front of the lodge. To reach the island, you'll cross the river accompanied by your tour guide, who will lead you on a fascinating tour. Along the way, you'll encounter a variety of monkeys indigenous to the area, as well as learn about the lush jungle and its native plants and trees. Upon returning to the lodge, you'll have time to relax and prepare for an unforgettable evening. At around 7:00 pm, your group will embark on a Caiman Safari with your guide. As you navigate the river, you'll be treated to glimpses of the vibrant nightlife along the riverbank. Finally, you'll return to the lodge for a delicious dinner, during which you can discuss plans for the following day. Day 2: Lodge – Sandoval Lake and Jungle Hike You will wake up around 6:00 am. Then you will enjoy our breakfast and get the last details from our guide for the day. After breakfast, you will walk to Sandoval Lake. Then you have a hike inside of Tambopata National Reserve (Sandoval Lake). Here you will have the chance to see an exciting diversity of animals – snakes, howlers, and hundreds of birds. Once you are at the Sandoval Lake, you will get into a smaller rowing boat, and, with our guide and staff, you’ll go in search of the giant otters. Also waiting for you to discover are caiman, piranhas, snakes, tapirs, turtles, cormorants, herons and of course lots of birds. Then you will go back to your lodge, where you can enjoy spectacular views of the sunset panoramas of the Jungle. If you still have energy left after dark, why not embark on an exciting adventure with your guide to explore the nocturnal wildlife? You can discover a variety of fascinating creatures such as insects, capybaras, and other nocturnal animals, while gaining knowledge about their behaviors and habitats under the stars. Then you finish the day with a delicious dinner. Day 3: Jungle activities – Puerto Maldonado After waking up, you will enjoy breakfast and get ready to walk near your lodge, and enjoy the views from lookouts (canopy). if you are lucky, you will see different animals like snakes, parrots, monkeys, and others. Then you will get ready and take a boat, and your transfer will take you back to Puerto Maldonado.

Your excess luggage will be stored safely in our office in Puerto Maldonado and then we will transfer to our lodge. A cool welcome drink awaits you. After a well-deserved lunch, we will start our Canopy Tower. It stands at 35 meters high and is built at the base of a massive Lupuna Tree, representing the Amazon with its enormous size. Throughout the day, you will be able to observe various bird species here. Our local expert will provide detailed explanations about the flora and fauna of the area. ZIPLINING - Once you’ve had your fill of the canopy walk, we will zip-line through the forest. Our local instructor will provide safety tips and share information on how to make the most of this activity. You’ll then glide down the 190-meter-long zip-line. One of our monitors will greet you and assist you in crossing a small 100m bridge. You will then return to the starting point by zip-lining. Later we will start our next activity, where we will take our boat and stream through the Madre de Dios River in search of the Jungle caimans. Day 2: Lake Sandoval - Return to Puerto MaldonadoAfter breakfast, take a boat to get to the control of the Tambopata National Reserve Zone. After a 1.5-hour walk through the rainforest, reach the famous Sandoval Lake. Be surrounded by ancient trees and entangled vines. Spot local plants and wildlife, including giant otters, birds, colored butterflies, turtles, and a variety of fish. Spend a few hours in a canoe to fully experience one of the most beautiful lakes in the region. Return to the lodge and take a boat ride back to Puerto Maldonado, followed by a transfer to the airport or bus station.

Very early in the morning we will take the boat to visit the parrot lick, a wall of earth (clay) on one side of the Madre de Dios River, where the different species of parrots come down to eat this special and indispensable clay necessary for your metabolism. You will have an experience that you will never forget to see the parrots of different colors. Breakfast and return to the city.

Itinerary We will pick you up at your accommodation at 9:00 a.m. From there we will go to the Tambopata National Reserve, about ten minutes away. Once there, we will cross what is considered the gateway to the southern Amazon rainforest. Ready for the hike? We will travel about three kilometers of trail. During the hiking route, we will have the opportunity to see monkeys and snakes up close. As true explorers, we will advance through the Amazonian flora, encountering macaws and even falcons. The trail will lead us to Lake Sandoval, the most idyllic enclave of the Tambopata National Reserve. We will board a canoe to tour Lake Sandoval and, from the water, we will greet unique species such as the river otter or the black caiman. After the walk, we will go to a local restaurant to enjoy a lunch of chicken, rice and mushrooms. With a full stomach, we will return to Puerto Maldonado, where we will accompany you to the hotel at 5:30 p.m. to conclude the walk through the jungle and Lake Sandoval.

DAY 1 Arrival at the airport or bus station and transfer to the office Hacienda Tambopata. Land transfer (4X4) wheeled truck to our destination for about 2 hours to reach the banks of the Tambopata River, if by river it will take more than 6 hours (just information). In this place we will take a boat to the lodge "Hacienda Tambopata." Welcome and Breakfast or lunch depending on the arrival time. In the afternoon we make an introductory walk into the rainforest where we will have the opportunity to see animals in their natural habitat. DAY 2 We woke up early, at 4:30, to leave for the lick of the world's largest macaw clay lick the CHUNCHO, a journey of about 1:30 am, by boat, on the way we will have the incredible opportunity to see different species. Accommodation is given. After lunch, we visit the "Monkey Island", located in front of our lodge across the Madre de Dios River where we find different species of monkeys living on the island those species are the brown capuchin, squirrel monkey and saddle back tamarin; and return to the Lodge. In the evening we will go for caiman search, white alligators are typically found on sand banks in the Madre de Dios River for which it will need to bring a flashlight. Also, we may see some capybara too, back to lodge, dinner and rest. Day 3 After breakfast walk 3 km. In the midst of the dense rain forest and headed to Lake Sandoval (piranha habitat) one of the largest in the Tambopata National Reserve and stroll in a rowing boat where we will appreciate many birds of different species (shansho cormorant jacanas, puma heron, buzzards, howler monkey, brown capuchin monkey, tamarins and sloths). Maybe we will meet with the family of giant river otters (almost two meters long) that is in danger of extinction, return to the lodge to enjoy a typical lunch. In the evening we will one more opportunity to walk where we can appreciate diversity of species of insects, amphibians, reptiles and other nocturnal animals. - Dinner and rest. Day 4 5.30a.m. in the jungle Morning and a short walk to our canopy walk-way, about 30 meters high, allowing us to appreciate nature from as high as possible, we will also have a panoramic view of the Madre de Dios river. From platforms observe different species of birds, including toucans, macaws, tanagers, orioles, for sure it will be a wonderful experience. Breakfast and return to the city, airport transfer and / or bus station.

Explore the apital of Perus biodiversity

The adventure begins with pickup from your hotel in Puerto Maldonado and heads to the Madre de Dios river where your boat for the day awaits. Board the boat and set sail along the vibrant river towards the National Reserve of Tambopata, a vast landscape rainforests that is rich in colorful wildlife. Arrive at the reserve and enjoy a 55-minute walk through the luscious landscape until you reach Sandoval Lake. Throughout the walk, admire views of the colossal jungle trees that surround you and watch out for native wildlife including monkeys and parrots. At the lake, hop into a canoe head out onto the calm waters, which beautifully reflect the trees that line the shore. Keep a look out for the abundance of animals and birds that call Sandoval their home, and in particular the lake's giant otters.  Enjoy a quick stop for lunch and some rest time, then hop back in your canoe as you go in search of black caimans and yet more fascinating wildlife, then slowly begin the journey back through the jungle and towards the riverboat waiting to return you to Puerto Maldonado.
