I wanted to see the island and get a good feel for its landscape outside of Corralejo, and that’s what we did. There are two main stops in a historic, pretty small town, Betancuria and Ajuy (fyi there’s a less touristy cafe up the hill from the beach which gave excellent service). You see the dramatic desert of the south and four fifths of the island’s landscape.

Would 100% recommend to anyone visiting this area! We did this on the first day of our holiday and it was the best start we could have had, we saw so much beautiful scenery and we could have bought all the goat’s cheese at the farm that we stopped at! Our guide was fantastic and took brilliant photos of us as well!
