It's worth it! Our tour guide Dani was the nicest and funniest person we've ever met. Excellent at his job, and was willing to help and explain things to us. The bus was comfortable and brand new. The tour took a little longer than expected due to the traffic on the way back but we didn't mind that. Peles Castle is beautiful and worth seeing, as for Dracula's Castle I can't say I went crazy but you can't go to Romania and not visit it
We were the first boat / group to arrive to Preveli, which was fantastic! We had plenty of time to get a coffee, climb up for a view of Preveli, and wander around the palm forest before getting back on the boat back to Damnoni. It was very busy by the time we left at noon. Loved the structure of this tour — tons of free time.
We took this tour with Vangelis. He was extremely knowledgeable about Crete, spoke fluent English and was an excellent guide. He even made an unscheduled stop for us at an olive oil factory that we wanted to do. Thank you for the great day.
The day was very well organized. The boat trip was a nice change from the bus ride. The beach offered a good opportunity for swimming. I just would have liked to have had a break on the way there to stretch my legs or relieve my bladder. 😁
Without reservations, lots of interesting facts about the island, plenty of time for your own sightseeing, which we liked the most.
