Prague: Classical Concert at St. Giles' Church

The Church of St. Giles, which stands in the very heart of old Prague, is one of the architectural gems and spiritual centers of the Czech metropolis.

Standing in the Old Town district, this originally Gothic church has a rich history dating back to the 14th century. Over the centuries, the church has undergone a series of changes and renovations that reflect various historical and artistic influences, mainly in the Baroque period.

The church, because of its unique acoustics, is the place of frequent concerts of classical music. In the early 1980s, the director Miloš Forman shot some scenes of his Oscar-winning film Amadeus in this church.

The Dvorak Symphony Orchestra is made up of highly experienced professional musicians from the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, FOK, SOČR, PKO, PKF, The National Theater, and others. From the date of its formation, it has featured as part of both Czech and international musical culture.

You can enjoy one of the programs Vivaldi Four Seasons, W. A. Mozart, T. Albinoni B. Smetana, A. Dvořák and other world composers every Tuesday and Saturday
