Full description

Explore the Terezin Concentration Camp on a half-day guided tour which starts in the heart of Prague in front of the Rudolfinum building, where you will meet our assistant with a blue and white umbrella.

On the bus, you have the opportunity to listen to an audio guide right on your phone that will introduce you to the history of the Czech lands, the history of Jewish people in our country, and the history of the town of Terezín. Our English-speaking assistant will be available to take care of you throughout the whole time.

In the Small fortress of Terezín, you will take part in a guided walk with a local guide in the language of your choice. Take a tour of the site of the concentration camp and the barracks while hearing about how the former garrison town unfortunately transformed into a camp.

Learn about how Terezin changed dramatically when the Nazis renamed it Theresienstadt and sent the first Jewish transports there in November 1941. After all of this, you will be safely transported back to Prague by our transfer.

Pay your respects at this historically significant place and explore with us the dark history that lies behind the gates of the Small Fortress of Terezín.

Half-Day Tour of Terezin – A Moving and Informative Experience This half-day tour of Terezin was tightly packed but incredibly informative, offering a meaningful glimpse into the history of the area in just a few hours. The journey to our first stop, the crematorium, took about an hour . Due to a school group ahead of us and the limited space inside, we were a bit rushed through this section, but it was still a powerful and sobering experience. At our second stop, we joined up with other groups based on language preference. Our guide, a Terezin local, was exceptional—deeply knowledgeable and able to share personal stories passed down through his family, which really added a unique and human element to the tour. We spent around an hour exploring the Terezin concentration camp, followed by a visit to the children’s museum. The artwork created by the Jewish children was both heartbreaking and moving. The final stop took us into the centre of Terezin, where we learned about the soldiers
