Our Small Group day tour to Unesco world heritage Dolomites Mountains very early departure is to guarantee a better experience in an area that year after year has seen a growing number of visitors . Leaving early will allow us to beat the crowds and enjoy an overall more rewarding experience. The tour features the famous Dolomites town of Cortina, the awe-inspiring Tre Cime di Lavaredo that you will see from various scenic viewpoints, and the beautiful mountain Lakes. Spend plenty of time at lake Misurina, where you’ll have the opportunity to walk around the lake, stop at one of the nice restaurants around the lake or in summer take a cable lift up to Col De Varda ( not included in the price- about 13 € per person) mountain hut for walking opportunities and offering enchanting views over Lake Misurina and the famous Dolomites mountain ranges, such as Sorapis and Mount Cristallo. Enjoy numerous scenic stops at panoramic viewpoints throughout the day before returning back to Venice at about 6.00pm In Winter months we will feature Cortina, Enchanting Lake Braies and the beautiful village of San Candido right on the border with Austria. Christhmas markets in the village to be enjoyed until beginning of January.

Stop at Cortina d'Ampezzo and take breathtaking photos at this renowned winter and summer resort which hosted the 1956 Winter Olympics. Enjoy some free time to go for a stroll in this charming town. Next, head to Lake Braies where you can go for a walk around the lake or sit in one of the lakeside cafes and enjoy the magnificent views. Continue to Lake Misurina for spectacular views of the lake and of the peaks of Tre Cime di Lavaredo, before returning to the meeting point in Venice.

Enjoy an excursion to Lake Braies, one of the most famous and popular naturalistic destinations in all of Italy. Explore the mountain lake with its magical and suggestive atmosphere and enchanting landscapes that enchant visitors in any season of the year. Spend a whole day observing the colors of the lake waters, accentuated by the sun beating directly on the lake, giving you splendid photos. Explore the area at its best also following the panoramic path that surrounds the lake to be able to immortalize every corner of the "Pearl of the Dolomites" *possibility to reach a refuge with a 20 minute walk where you can eat typical and delicious food. (only in summer) Immediately after we will leave to return to Milan in the late evening.

Following a pickup from your hotel, you’ll head first to Bolzano, gateway to the Dolomites and capital of the province South Tyrol. Cross the Eggental valley that runs eastward between the Rosengarten massif and the Latemar mountain range. This road was built in 1894 when the territory was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Stop at Lake Carezza, the most beautiful lake of the western Dolomites, for a 30-minute break and walk around the lake. Next, arrive at Karerpass where you’ll see the historical Residence Grand Hotel Carezza, built in 1893, this was the first luxury hotel in the Dolomites and has hosted very important guests including the Empress Sissi, Winston Churchill, and Agatha Christie. From the Karerpass you’ll reach the Fassa Valley in Trentino and pass through the towns of Vigo di Fassa and Canazei to arrive under the imposing peaks of the Sella group. From here, begin a long series of 27 hairpin bends that will lead you to the famous Pordoi Pass at an altitude of 2,239m above sea level. Enjoy a one-hour break or take the cable car to Sass Pordoi at an altitude of 2,950m. From the Pordoi Pass, go down to the village of Arabba and continue east to the Falzarego Pass, the gateway to the eastern Dolomites. You’ll reach Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy’s premier mountain resort known as the Pearl of the Dolomites where the Winter Olympic Games were hosted in 1956. Cortina, together with Milan, will once again host the Winter Olympics in 2026. From Cortina, the next stop will be Lake Misurina with its incredible panoramic view of Three Peaks of Lavaredo. The lake, with its view of the peaks to the north and Sorapis to the south, is the most famous image of the Dolomites in the world. Just 20 minutes from Lake Misurina you’ll have the opportunity for a brief stop at another important lake in the Eastern Dolomites, Lake Dobbiaco. From Dobbiaco, you’ll reach the extreme northeast of Italy just a few kilometers from the border with Austria for the great finale of the day: a visit to the famous Lake Braies. From here, you’ll return to Bolzano via the Pusteria and the Isarco valleys.

Enjoy lunch at a historic restaurant/pizzeria, accompanied by a spectacular lake view. After lunch your drive continues to Cortina d ’Ampezzo, known as the Queen of the Dolomites. Italy’s premier mountain resort is exclusively positioned in the breathtaking mountains and is a symbol of style, fashion and the Italian way of life. From Cortina d’Ampezzo, you’ll begin the 3-hour drive back to Bolzano on the famous Great Dolomites Road.
