On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, begin by taking the dirt roads through Villavicencio where you can catch amazing views of the highest peaks in the Andes. Reach Uspallata Valley and make your first stop at the town of Uspallata where the native Huarpes settled during the pre-Hispanic era. Take your time to soak in the Andean scenery and grab a snack. Then, continue on to Polvaredas and Punta de Vacas. Snap some photos before getting to Puente del Inca, a natural arch situated 8,924 feet above sea level. Admire the swirls of colored rock and the mountain views from the bridge. Journey towards the Chilean border, and stop at a natural viewpoint at Aconcagua, the largest mountain in both the Southern and Western Hemispheres. Our first stop will be the Uspallata settlement, where we'll explore the remains of the pre-Hispanic Huarpes community and discover the southernmost point of the Inca Empire along the Inca Trail from Peru. Continuing our journey, we'll visit the charming villages of Picheuta, Polvaredas, and Punta de Vacas. We'll then travel along the route of the Puente del Inca, marveling at the natural architectural formations and hot springs. Following that, we'll ascend to the viewpoint of Cerro Aconcagua, a towering presence at 6,959 meters above sea level, surrounded by the serene Laguna Horcones and the Aconcagua Provincial Park. Our final destination is the picturesque European-style village of Las Cuevas, located 3,200 meters above sea level. Here, we'll find the path that leads to the iconic "Cristo Redentor" monument, perched at an impressive 4,200 meters above sea level, symbolizing the unity between the people of Argentina and Chile (Only visited during the summer months). We depart early in the morning. I'll pick you up from wherever you're staying in the city. We go through three ranges: the Pre-Cordillera front range, the Silver range, and the Main range of the Andes. We have five planned stops, but we can add other stops, since this is a private tour just for you. • A stunning viewpoint that overlooks the expansive Potrerillos reservoir, where we can see all three ranges, a large reservoir, and sometimes, sailboats. • We continue higher into the mountains and make a short stop in the town Uspallata. • Farther into the Andes, we stop at the Inca Bridge, a geological formation with hot springs and ruins of an old hotel. • Our last night is at the foot of the tallest peak in the Americas, Aconcagua. Here, we'll take a short hike in the Aconcagua Provincial Park, which has breathtaking views of the south face. • On the way back to Mendoza, we'll stop for lunch in Uspallata in a BBQ restaurant. • We get home late in the afternoon and I'll drop you off wherever you're staying.

On Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday afternoons you will visit the villages of Cacheuta and Potrerillos in the western area of Mendoza. Bordering the Mendoza River, you will visit the ruins of the former FADER power plant - CAJÓN DE CACHEUTA (the narrowest sector of the Mendoza River). In the village of Cacheuta you will be able to walk across the suspension bridge, a 140 meter long pedestrian bridge. Then, ascending by snails we will cross the tunnel that links Cacheuta with POTRERILLOS (View wall and crown of the Potrerillos dam), with a spectacular view of the Lago del Dique, an artificial lake of more than 10 kilometers long, with a background of snow-capped mountains. We will make a stop at the viewpoint to contemplate the landscape. You will have a free hour to have a snack with panoramic views or if you prefer you can add a little adrenaline with a walk through the trees in Potrerillos Park (optional not included). Return along National Route 7, passing by AGRELO and the MALBEC area, where important wineries such as Septima Codorniu, Ruca Malen, Belasco de Baquedano, Chandon, Norton, Decero, among others, are located. Arrival at the last minute to the city of Mendoza on route 40. On Wednesdays and Saturdays in the morning we head towards the north of Mendoza to travel a road full of San Martin history. You will travel along one of the routes that part of the army of the Andes traveled in its campaign to liberate Chile and Peru. Then you will arrive at the Villavicencio Natural Reserve destined to preserve and protect the historical heritage and biological diversity (entry not included).
