Carnlough harbour - Braavos Canal This is a picturesque harbour situated in the small coastal village of Carnlough. Filming took place here featuring season 6 episode 7 when Arya surfaced from the water after being attacked by the waif and crawled up the harbour steps on to the streets of Braavos. Ballintoy Harbour - Lordsport Harbour & Pyke This coastal area nook at the end of a small twisting road is synonymous with Pyke and the Iron Islands. Theon returns here in season 2 episode 2 and is baptised here in season 4 episode 2. While in season 6 episodes 2 and 5 feature Balon's funeral and eurons drowning and rebirth. The Dark Hedges - The kingsroad This beautiful avenue of beech trees was planted by the Stuart family in the 18th century to impress visitors as they approached Gracehill house. The Dark Hedges was used in season 2 episode 1 as Arya escapes kings landing along the kingsroad. Downhill Beach - Dragonstone An 11km stretch of sandy beach this stunning beach is home to Mussendon a tiny temple perched dramatically on a 120ft cliff top. In season 2 episode 1 this is where Melisandre burnt the effigies of the seven gods of westeros.
