The tour was very well organised and our guide, Gennaro, was excellent. Pompeii is truly a phenomenal place and it is worth getting a knowledgable guide as there is so much rich history to help you understand the place. Be aware that If you’re taking the train from/to Napoli, beware that it can be stuffed full of people on the way back. We almost couldn’t squeeze in and would have missed our cruise ship so it was stressful.

Our tour guide, Sergio, was brilliant! He spoke clearly and was very knowledgeable about the area. He never skipped a beat and gave a great introduction to Pompeii. By the end of the tour, we felt that we were confident enough to explore the rest of Pompeii on our own. My only suggestions are to stop and ask the group if there are questions and to stop to allow the group to refill their water bottles.
